To me, good repair reward etiquette:
    1. Covers market cost of the repair material. Often they outright fail this essential on electrum and steel repairs.
    2. Offers reward for the synth at a 2k minimum baseline.
    3. Add 2k gil for a double-synth repair material (squares)
    4. Add 2k gil for a field material that takes specific intent to obtain (blood)
    5. Add 2k gil for >R40 repairs.

So for something like Jade crook repair you're looking at 8k plus cost of the blood, or about 11-12k.

I've always done item rank x 100 gil.

Peregrine's system is perfect, except that not everyone is familiar with how rare/expensive each item is. =\

    1) lol, no kidding, 1k-2k for electrum is just rediculous
    2) i personaly go with a 3k baseline
    3) squares are common place, 3 nuggets + a few shards = 12 squares so i personaly wouldnt look at them as more valuable
    4) Some field mats suck bad, elytron/bloods and so on, yeah screw those, as someone who repairs everything, these are materials i rarely have on me, in these cases its the persons responsiblity that wants the repair to have them usualy imo, otherwise, they are gonna be waiting a long time for that repair
    5) 5k+ for a 40+ repair is very fair, with a few exceptions. the first being alchemy repairs, most people find it commonplace to give 10-20k+ for those now due to the lack of alchemists out there who actualy have the materials to repair those type of things. There really arent many rare materials up that high that warrent big rewards beyond that, its moreso just the pain of finding someone who can. There are alot but many just dont look at repairs when they get up there.
