When FATE events are underway, are we forced to actually party with people, or can we just all go up and fight the NM, like in Guild Wars 2?
Sorry if my questions are posted already, I don't have time to read 30 pages, and I wanted to make sure my questions had a chance to get answered.
It has been mentioned that Regional Servers will allow us the choice of playing with players of our own language/region or another region. However, with friends that were made in 1.0 in other region will I be able to communicate with them in 2.0 through cross-server chatting? Will I be able to build parties with friends on other servers through the content finder or is it strictly random selection only?
Is selecting a Regional Server a hard set choice that cannot be changed?

I'm pretty sure I've heard Samurai is planned. With the way this game is, will Samurai not be able to use both bow and katana?
I've also heard much about the gold saucer from Final Fantasy 7 coming in at some point. Is this actually true? This would be a dream come true! If we had chocobo racing like in the gold saucer I would be so happy I'd probably punch the wall. WITH PRIZES THAT ARE USEFUL! Like special materia!!?!??!
Will we be able to obtain a Mentors Status in 2.0?
About Quest.
We'll never see Investigation Quest Type? Where You must find clues and solution of the quest without marks on the map or anything, just reading the lore or reading the journal and found the next step. I think will be funny if developed well.

Will there be a better Mithra-like nose option for Miqo'te characters in ARR? The option available in 1.0 was hardly noticable and tied to only one face type.

Believe it or not, the scarcity of gear drops in XIV 1.0 has been one of the big things I miss from that game. It just seemed to add a whole new level of discovery and excitement to the game. In all the other MMOs I've been playing since FF, you get so much loot while questing they make crafting seem like a waste of time and getting gear upgrades is no more exciting than finding junk that you npc for money (at least for me). I personally thought it was much more fun relying on crafting to get all your gear. Making each and every upgrade feel like a special moment in the growth of your character - instead of something that is handed to you and in most cases accompanied with no feelings at all.
How do you plan to keep crafting relevant in ARR?
I did my due diligence in searching for any past answers on this and found nothing. If it has been answered before I'm sorry and would greatly appreciate a link showing me what I've missed!
EDIT: Just to clarify, I am ONLY talking about random drops and quest rewards when it comes to scarcity of gear drops. Dungeon/Primal loot is a completely different discussion, imho!![]()

In the early stages of version 1.0 it was possible to tank using a Pugilist (evasion tank I guess you could call it). Are there any plans to make it possible to build a tank with your monk/pugilist and have it be viable for endgame content? Or is Monk going to be only used as a DPS class?
