Are the Alpha and Beta Clients different? Will previous alpha players need to delete what they installed and re-download and install another client for the beta?
How are the development team planning for the future in terms of hardware changes, new standards in graphical quality among competitors and so on?
We heard last time that the next milestone is DirectX 11 compatibility - how is this going to be managed alongside the PS3 versions? I'm asking from a PC player viewpoint but I imagine that the PS3 players might be less than impressed if say, the PC version continued to get improved graphically whereas the PS3 is neglected, and vice-versa.



You said months ago that behest would be completely redesigned, to the point that it might even be renamed. Could you give us some new detailed information about this change?
Has the Lalafell running animation been changed?



Will the focus of bossing continue to be on dynamic elements? ex.) Garuda's Cyclones, Ifrit's Plumes, Van Darnus's Meteors.
Please don't go back to tank and spank. It will make me sad Hyur.

This might be something for a bit down the road, but after a lot of the fan service is over, will we be seeing unique never before seen summons/jobs/monsters/bosses(e.g Van darnus)/abilities/magic/etc. Just something unique only to FFXIV 2.0 and maybe its content/lore. I'm all for bring back old classics and everything, but would like to see some new creative stuff.

The the magitek armor, mandragoras, primals and other aspects from other FF games are there other characters, or game elements you have plans for integrating into XIV in the near future?



Are you planning to implement secret areas in dungeons? i.e run against a specific wall, find out it was a mirage, explore a new previously unmapped area. Alternatively, can be accessed by secret sequence of switches, or even doh/dol actions.

During the Alpha version, a lot of people were concerned about the global cooldown on weaponskills being 3 seconds. Are there any plans to reduce this to a more resonable level, or to remove it entirely?
