Why do I see that? Look at these pics!

Today I have seen several strange things while playing FF XIV. I found that during a Guildleve, being close to a light pillar (which must be checked to summon monsters) or near an atherit node (at the end of the leve), reflected light makes RED glares!
Sorry for my English (it is not very good indeed), and let me show you the pictures I've made to explain what I am talking about:
    1. I'm on a leve and have to check a light pillar - look at the tree from the left of it. It's red.

    2. Look at the shadows and trees (red again).

    3. Look at the big tree behind me! Very impressive!! I've made two photoes: normal view and hell-of-a-sadden view.

    4. At the end of the leve near an atherite node. Look at the beautiful red glares around!

I have some more photoes the same type, but nothing new.
So my question is: WHY DO I SEE THAT??
    My comp specs are:

It is a sign of things to come... The Black Shroud needs to be torched.

Seriously though, I have no idea. But you might want to re-install your latest video drivers.

    Grettings Finik!

The thread has been moved over from In-Game Bugs to Technical Support. It could be a technical issue that may be resolved here. I hope all goes well soon enough!

wow, that last picture, all i can say DISCO DISCO!

did you have that issue before the patch 1.17 aswell, or did you change any nvidia settings/drivers lately?
i'll say it's an issue of the latest patch, while i don't have the same issue as u, i had one in the past with half transparent textures that got fixed with a later patch aswell.

I'm sure it is some kind of graphical glitch involving how your computer is interpreting the lighting effects but, some of those photos look to me kind of like very bright early morning sunlight peering through the dark foliage of the forest.

2 Rose: I like disco, but Gridanian forest doesn't look like disco-club.))
I hadn't got this issue before the patch 1.17 and I didn't change any settings/configuration of the game or my video-card lately. The issue showed up suddenly without any reasons.
To be honest, I can say that I had the similar issue in January 29th, you can see it on a link below:
    http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/...1296333424.jpg
Later, in the begginig of March my old video-card (the same GTX 480, made by Palit) suddenly died because of unknown reason and I bought a new one - GTX480 made by Inno3D. I DO HOPE that the current issue will not bring my new video-card to death. Also I hope that the breakage of my old video-card wasn't connected with a light-glitch in FF XIV. Otherwise somebody has to be responsible for that..

May i ask what setting you play FFXIV on? by the look of the Pic you playing it on pretty high sitting with shadow and all i can't stand shadow in ffxi or in ffxiv so i have it off but no reason you should of it off but the reason am asking is. You should check the temp when playing FFXIV

also what setting are you playing on tell me everything you have on your config maybe i can help your issue. <--- computer reapir <------

You may have burn your old video card due to having it on setting the card could not run on.

GTX480 have a 105 degrees Celsius max temp mine goes from 50temp to 75-90c max which is very save. So you know FFXIV is know to have artifacts when using nvidia which is what am seeing in the Pic. I know back in beta1 ATI cards lag which is one of the reason i never was in city then Nvidia start having problem with artifacts i think this issue is till in the game.

Check your Temp of your video card and tell me your setting your playing.

you could also redownload FFXIV this have fix most ppl nvidia artifacts problem when playing FFXIV.

I don't know but I wish mine did that! I saw the river on fire once in Lufaise Meadows.
