The only thing i remember them saying is everyone who have a CE can get the 2.0 CE for a lower price.

The way they doing items in 2.0 is when you add the code you get the item i think by moogle mail VS 1.0 version where you have too put the code before you made the char to get the item.

So you could just buy the CE to have it and use the item code for the items
