my dead? should i bring them out?
"I'm not dead yet"
thwack!
Lol, I'm pretty sure a long time ago I suggested this, however I included the need for the Grey'd out or whatnot screen with a big traditional GAME OVER across the screen if you died alone or if the entire party wiped.
nope, you die if you are killed. (mmmmm.... microwaved brains)
Yes. I want to feel more like a failure... ; ;Was looking at some old XI videos, the person in the video died and then the music cued:

They should do like super smash brothers:
When you didn't win the bonus round, the words FAILURE appeared on the screen and a voice said: "FAILURE" and all the crowd goes "Awwwwwww!"
Something like this?

Eh, listening to the song again, it's kind of offensive for a PG forum thread. But yeah, the best "you're dead" music I've heard is brental floss's rendition of the Mega man 3 game over song. But personally, I always reraise or respawn fast enough that I never hear the full ffxi "you're dead" music.

Act in such a way that you treat humanity, whether in your own person or in the person of another, always at the same time as an end and never simply as a means
I prefer a the normal victory tune only in a darker setting with the monster dancing on top of your corpse
