First off, I should say I did read the full NDA.

I'm pretty sure you could stream yourself actually commentating the game on Mumble with your friends. As long as you don't stream gameplay or sound, you should be all right. If you won't even do that, I would be worried about the entertainment value of what you're doing :P

    NDA serious business, amirite?

I know I've stated this before, but some people are utterly incapable of staying within the bounds of a reasonable expectation, or showing any kind of risk assessment skill. We have severe cases of NDA fear mongering and it's a sheepish attitude. I mean, just stop and look at some of the comments on threads regarding the NDA. In their minds, they must really think that posting content from a video game with NDA is just as serious as leaking classified government documents that compromise national security.

Let's take a rational approach on what you're planning to do with your stream. What's the worst thing that could happen to you? You're not putting your beta account on the line, of course. What about your twitch account? If for some reason, somebody doesn't like what you're doing, an admin might show up and message you. You'll be asked to stop streaming and as long as you comply, your account is safe. But that will not happen, because you're not even streaming the damn game.

So your very own opinion is "covered" by the NDA? Don't be silly. Nobody has the legitimate authority to enforce that. We're not characters in Orwellian fiction.

    NDA, serious business, amirite?

I gotta agree. People here have a serious case of NDA Policing, kind of sad. Thanks for your input, you seem to be the only person with a clue :P. I will say your right there wont be much entertainment value, and thats not really the intention. People will undoubtedly search for people streaming the game and breaking the NDA, instead what they will find is my stream where people are talking about the game and they can Follow me for when the NDA is lifted. Not really looking to entertain, just promote the game and answer questions people may have. When NDA is lifted and I have my sexy lalafell with 7 relics and my whole LS together, there will be much entertainment.

I do believe that commentating on the game however does violate the NDA. Maybe a Dev can chime in and give a clear answer to wheter or not streaming people commentating on the game is against the NDA. I'm pretty sure that it is however.

How on earth could you read the whole thing and miss the part that is capitalized and bolded for emphasis?

    2.6 Beta Tester's Confidentiality Obligations.
    [snip]
IN OTHER WORDS, YOU MAY NOT POST OR PUBLISH IN ANY WAY YOUR EXPERIENCE IN THE BETA TEST OR YOUR OPINION OF THE NON-RETAIL VERSION OF FINAL FANTASY XIV ONLINE.
If you stream your opinion while the NDA is in effect, the hammer can come down.

This is not a phobia. This is simple reading.
