Symptoms may also include:

Thinking about the graphical intensity of grass more than normal.
Finding yourself buying clothing in colors that reflect your home in Eorzea.

It's gotten so bad that when I'm about to walk somewhere in town, I whistle for Zephyr (my Chocobo) and wait for a little while... then get disappointed when I don't hear a high pitched squeak a few seconds of lag later.

That is a misdiagnosis - that is really symptoms of FFXIV Withdrawal - going cold-turkey with a FFXIV addiction is not good as the FFXIV drug is so potent and addictive (not the least because of the 'End of an Era' variant). Temporary treatments are available for FFXIV Withdrawal, but the excess toxicity of the drug makes such measures only mildly effective at best.

But yeah, Square Enix's pharmacists are working hard on a cure for this epidemic, called 'A Realm Reborn ~ Beta Test Phases 1-4'. Will need to be taken in increasing doses every day for four-five months.
