If you were truly an electronic music enthusiast you would be happy about dubstep making the mainstream

while you're looking up definitions, google "no true scotsman"

and the more enthusiastic a person is about something, generally the higher their standards are in relation to it. if someone is a classical music enthustiast, that doesn't mean they're automatically enthusiastic about anything that's classical. in fact, it means they're far more likely to be extra-critical of it.

a sushi enthusiast is much harder to please than someone who just likes california rolls. and dubstep is the california roll of modern electronic music. it's the electronic equivalent of nu-metal.

it's a phase, it's awful, it's generally favored by people with limited exposure and/or poor taste, and it will pass. just... not soon enough.

(and trust me- you do not want to get into a pissing contest with me over music knowledge)
