Suggestion for A Realm Reborn's inventory interface.

A box of near-identical icons with no names next to them are gonna make you rage when you are trying to find a "Raptor Leather" in among every other skin/leather you have.

Leather have different colors. Raptor leather is white.

Agree an inventory window showing all your pages at once would be better. Or, each 'bag' can have separate windows instead of being one big window.

I'd prefer to be able to display as many of my bags as I want at a time. Having to select something and drag it between tabs seems very cumbersome.

No, lets save the devs some work and just have bags, because lists arent better for gamepad users. You're just used to the list. Make like the borg and adapt, and you'll soon forget you liked the list better. This thread is not built on the premise of mouse/keyboard versus gamepad.

Even with sorting, it takes much longer to scroll through a list of 100 items than it does to just spot the relevant icon, considering the bags can show us more in less time.

Let someone make a UI mod if they really want an inferior system that badly.

Imo they are both useful, for when I know what I want and where bags are obviously better but when I want to compare data- lists are superior.


Personally like to see in the inventory, bag to list, list to bag, active search (hides items not relating to the search) for both bag and list like most music library programs, sort by ____, and a gambit sort system where you can create your own custom sorting commands and then tell it to sort by "custom sort rules".


If I had to choose "one" I'd pick bags, but I'd be a liar to say I dont like the other system too.


Here is to hoping that SE addons are efficient and powerful enough to modify the inventory system (or unlike Blizzard they don't fubar everyone's addons every patch lol).

"One bag" option is a must, or at least an option that makes all the bag visible simultaneous just like the OP suggested.

Everything discussed here has been either demonstrated in a Live Letter or through the assets Square Enix released. ... Why wait to discuss it until then?

Because SE has already said whatever we have seen so far, is going to be changed during the beta phases ...

For me, that pretty much means any discussion now, is too early and our opinions/inputs will be much more valuable during the beta phases when SE is seeking them.
