They using the laptop version so its cheaper.that would place the console at about $1000+ per unit. no one is going to pay that, except maybe Die Hard Sony Loyalists. last i checked those are drying up as fast as Sony tells lies.
besides sticking within the trends of consoles the past few generations the clear successor to the Nvidia 7900, would be the 4xxx Series by ATI. its the defacto generation leap chip pretty much.

Profit wise it would be best to release a ps3 version and ps4 version in the future. Only worry I have is the ps3 limitations which will effect the game for PC users in some way or form and probably already has. You can spike up the graphics on the PC version vs the ps3 version, but the world itself dynamically will be limited in general due to the fact that the game has to be able to run on the ps3, so they are limited already as to how much things they can add to the world. The PC version will have more features like more complex UI with more details, but the instance dynamics most likely have been adjusted/downgraded so it could function on the ps3.
If they waited for PS4 to release it on console then they would lose the remaining few that are waiting for this game since 2 years. I personally think it's a good idea to release it on Ps3 and in a few years on Ps4 (Whatever they call it).

That would be a big shocker. The WSJ often get things wrong, especially things based on rumors.
No way SE would shelve a PS3 version that is only months away from beta, to focus on a console that won't even ship until 6-18 months after ARR launches. Yoshi-P has already said he wants to make right with the PS3 players. And given there's many times more of them than PC gamers, that's probably a wise idea.

No It was not a mistake. There are far more potential players on PS3 than there would be for PS4. They can always port the game to PS4 later.
SE probably shifted FFXIII Versus for PS4.
Could be a 7850 but I still think they can launch for 399 and break even.that would place the console at about $1000+ per unit. no one is going to pay that, except maybe Die Hard Sony Loyalists. last i checked those are drying up as fast as Sony tells lies.

Andrien... I watch your entire sig.![]()

The last thing significant I remember about PS4 rumors is that the hardware specs are very similar; that the Cell technology was so ahead of its time, that it would be capable of spanning 2 generations of the console. Blu ray is still the standard, so it seems to me that either machine would be able to run the game at its respective full potential.
Even old console games like N64's "Perfect Dark" were scalable with the console upgrade card.
