The bot i found that SE wont do anything about

I haven't noticed any multi botters around, but on Lindblum I've become suspicious of a couple of Lalafells in Limsa that sit around and craft all day. They don't seem to be botting in particular, unless they have specifics on their program running. They'll spam Hasty Hands for shards, if that fails then they normally try to finish their synth. Checking them, level 21 alchemists with all and only starting gear equipped. Lodestone pages show them with no physical level points distributed.

There are HUNDREDS (if not comprising near 50% of a servers population by now) per server crafting fishing mining botany lvling etc.

I'm not sure how accurate this assumption is, but at times it does feel that way.
Sometimes players are too hasty to either suspect or report another player. I also think some spend too much time worrying and go around trying to prove that a character does in fact use third-party tools, when they should use that time focusing on themselves.

In other words, "I defend bots, because I don't know how they work! I have no understanding of economics, so I just assume they are there for the scenery! All those people saying there's somthing wrong is jealous of bots, and I wish I could be like them, if only for that TOS!"

This is wrong, even if you don't know why, or refuse to know why.

Seriously, these are at best 8th grade concepts. I would expect any proficient sophomore in highschool to be able to understand how damaging these activities are to economies. You worked harder than you had to because of cheaters in XI. You farmed longer. You spent more. You were further behind. You were less competitive. Without cheaters screwing up the separation of wealth differentials, these games stay reasonable. When they are allowed to dictate how money and how assets talk, voices of real players get extinguished and you pay and you work how much they say you work to afford what they sleep though and get.

What I guess I shouldn't expect is that same sophomore to write the same essay if they are directly being paid off by those activities. Really, a teenager and a corrupt politician behave in the same naive ways: they use concrete operational thought to convince themselves of, believe and say whatever they think most directly benefits them, rational thought and logic be damned.

No surprise that a town crafter would condone that bot. It's producing ores and keeping prices low. It's the miners who are like **** that.

im a town crafter(most of the time) and i personaly HATE bots
sure i love cheap mats, but there is a line to be drawn and ou just cant support it regardless
