    To those unhappy with the current respawn timer:

    Please realize that these are not end game mobs. They are essentially points of interest that provide some mid-level gear to players. As such, there is no reason why they should be special little snowflakes that you have to camp for hours on end.

    drop rate suck..... that cactur 0/10 elmo....
    flametouge drop from that fly 1/5

    so it ok just give more nm and and more item.... alot item just collection -3- so don't mind just give more enough make something for player to do

    I think for NOW the 3-5 minute respawn rate is acceptable. They probably knew that every single player still playing is going to be hunting these new NMs down, and if it were a 4 hour respawn time, it'd make people complain that they have to wait in order to enjoy the new gear. With this timer it gives people a chance to get together, take down an NM, and have fun. What they'll probably do is release more NMs in the future once they've added more to the world and then increase the respawn times on them once there is more variety of NMs to go around.

    I think they should take longer to spawn. Like said in the OP, they spawn quicker than most other mobs in the game. Also I think they should be split between r45-r50 NMs and r30 NMs. Finally they need to instance NM battles badly. Two weeks ago my linkshell went for our first NM run (r45+) and it took us 3 hours to get into our first battle. Thats not the sign of being hardcore it is just a pointless time sink. You should be able to show up and still fight the NM even if more parties are waiting. The challenge should be in beating the mob, having to apply strategy and making your party work as a unit, not simply camping for 4 hours in a race to hit the mob first.

    The first introduction of notorious monsters was made for end-game players. This second introduction was obviously intended for mid-level players. This gives more options to mid-levels besides the already tiring behest + your set of daily leves combo. Options that high-levels had but everyone else didn't. Now even more people have a chance at NMs. The dungeon they are working on is was announced as end-game content, right? Would it be fair that the first NMs, these NMs and the dungeon be all for the last ranks while everyone else is left out of the picture?
    As for the respawn time. I agree that having such a short respawn time kinda kills the feeling of it being special, but I think it's necessary in times like these where everyone in game needs a break from the few options we have (while we get new ones). Maybe once we get enough content to keep everyone busy they will reconsider and increase the respawn time, make them lottery or who knows. Last thing we want is 20 Sozu Rogberries (pre-???) in Eorzea, at least atm.

    Leaping Lizzy could respawn directly after it dying. I've had that happen once where LL spawned three times after dying because of place holder deaths lol

    And honestly, I don't want another Mee Deggi low lvl NM again which spawns once an hour if you are lucky, usually every two hours, AND it had an "atrocious" drop rate. My friend camped it for several weeks and went 0/70+ on the drop. I on the other hand went 1/1 on the drop rate. SE doesn't determine, "oh, we need to make this drop fairly often for the spawn time." SE will just leave the same type of drop rate for ALL NMs. Cry for longer spawn times, you get them and then you will cry because the drop rate isn't high enough and shouldn't take as long to spawn. Stop complaining and enjoy the slight content we got in this patch. Klaus, still trying to prove you are "hardcore"? Give it a rest.

    Yeah it was a lotto pop, nothing wrong with it taking a little effort and getting a surprise when it pops. But these "NMs" (I wouldn't even call them that) pop faster than the normal mobs around them lol.

    Leaping Lizzy just like all NM's in XI will be recieving a Respawn time adjustment soon that could drop things like 24-1week Respawn times down to under 5 hours. And the stuff from 1-5 hours down to 15 minutes. SE is not going to be doing those types of mobs anymore. Its pretty Evident in how they are treating them in both XI and XIV.

    I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders.
