Why, no engine for PC, why...I saw this news last week:

I mean, the rumored specs are using PC hardware. X86 AMD CPU and AMD Radeon GPU. Games are probably built on PCs anyways, so porting to PC isn't a problem. The biggest issue with PCs is still piracy to many publishers.
I hope FFXV is ported to PC so I don't have to buy another console.

Japanese developers fear it yeah but it would be a dumb move for Square Enix if they don't port all old-school FF series on steam though.I mean, the rumored specs are using PC hardware. I know you can play on emulator.
To clarify my last post, it will take that long to make something of that quality in every aspect. If you want to know how long until we see games with graphics that good... probably 2-4 years, though I lean closer to the 4 years than the 2.
I am a computer scientist so I get what you mean.![]()
Actually from what I have read this is the new engine for making games for the PS4. Apparently this is gonna be a scalable engine and is supposed to be the close cousin to ARRs engine. Also this kind of graphics can be achieved with off the shelf components now.

I wonder when the PS4 is gonna be coming out...and if Final Fantasy XIV: ARR will be playable on said console.

FFXIV:ARR is a scalable game so yes it should be playable on the PS4 even better graphics.
I don't know when, we are waiting for Sony's announcement at this E3 I think.
