Most of us have been tested by the Eikons of Eorzea Ifrit and the furious Garuda. These tests are memorable ones but they're nothing compare to what I'm about to say. I was casually roaming the city of Ul'dah looking for a nice set of gloves as my previous set were destroyed by the very own Bowstring they pull. The leather on my Choral Sandals also needed some shining from the muddy waters of Limsa fighting Toxic toads *Dirty critters they are* .
Enough of that non-sense though. As I approached a fellow Clothcrafter, a loud sound scattered across the grounds of Ul'dah. There were Soldiers running towards the gates, I began running along side a Soldier and remember asking " What's going on ? " the Soldier responds " The fight is here ! " During that moment I knew what we had to do.
There were those who began screaming and running about with fear *I can't lie, I've never seen so much panic in one area and it was getting me nervous as I know not the future* Silently there was brief moment of calm within the Soldiers as the Bards sang of The Twelve....
I can see the tears of a child running down the side of her cheek. This is real It was a time war, one with uncertainty of what lies ahead...
I prepared mine bow and decided to set out along side The Immortal Flames. Words were shouted as we began our embark towards Mor Dhona....
As we were coming close to Camp Bluefog the Diremites did not attempt an attack on our caravan. Not that it was of great surprise to me as the number we brought forth a challenge I'd dare not do. Seems as if the long walk to Mor Dhona would be a safe one as the Desert Pieste appear ignore us as well. They must have had a sense of what was to come.....
A foul scented smell arose as we came to our arrival. We're here it's Mor Dhona.
I can see a dark haze. Looking up at the sky I've never seen Dalamud so largely close to our home. There was a great silence, no noise other then footsteps an the metal clanking against metal. This was a time of thinking. Lots to be thought of, some may have been thinking about their families and homes other possibly thinking about their own lives. What is certain is they are here as we move on pass The Seventh Umbral Era.
The stars were not in our favor on the longest day of our lives.
As the hazy mist became thicker Black Mages casted fire to torch an passed them around as a light source. Not much help but I can at least see the one in front of me.
The skys quickly became fill with fireballs decimating the land as Dalamud approached our world.....
During our way to Castrum Nova our Caravan was attack from the side by a large group of Garleans. A side flank it was, they've caught us off guard the caravan could only take one hit. It was demolish in seconds by a swipe of a Vanguard's arm. I jumped on the side of the Vanguard and disabled it by shoving one of the few Colbalt Arrowheads in an area of gadgets. It broke free, a mighty Paladin provoked it. We stood our ground to fight back as the Garleans moved in from the side running downhill, our mages began casting spells fending off some of their frontline soldiers yet they were strong indeed a difficult fight it was. I merely watch from behind as my arrow flew through sky flying straight and true towards my target. I couldn't bear to stand silence listening to our foe's weapons clash with our own. I shout "This is my Battle Voice!!" as I loosed three arrows from my bow and began singing Paeons of War. I swiftly approached my target to pull my arrows out of its body I found myself trapped in a ring of enemies. They were about 30 paces closing in I Lightly shot my arrows toward them hopefully slowing their approach towards me. I know of nothing more to do my heart is pounding I'm thinking " This is the end for me. " I was in an area where the mages could not save me without harming my body. I was fired apon by a Thaumaturge of their side. I quickly reacted diving out of the way though it seems as if my Choral Shirt was alittle singed. My space was quickly getting smaller....
I spot a sparkle in the sky, what is this? ..... They appeared to be quickly heading towards me as a Rain of Death. I close my eyes I can hear bodies falling, agony and pain but mine not harmed. Despite my fear I open my eyes looking up at the hill ahead. It was a group with skillful Archers, Bards and splended Whitemages from The Order of the Twin Adder. I gave a Flame Salute and sang a Ballad of magi as the Whitemages healed our group, many were injured. They captured a Lieutenant, the Garleans were greatly outnumbered an many retreated. We continued setting foot towards Castrum Nova as few stay questioning the Lieutenant he would need to pay for what he has abided by.
Onwards to Castrum Nova, our influence in battle was great as we were with those of the Twin Adder. I could feel a great presence coming from Dalamud a blue light started to emit from the bottom of it. Castrum Nova is just in sights. Machines were gathered around , Garleans were all over. The gap between us an them quickly closed as a brave Dragoon led onward to the fight followed by the many of us. Charging an uproar was created two sides quickly clashing. *Almost as two drops of water create two different ripple effects colliding. This is it a fight to the end for Honor, our future lied in our hands our land will not be Forsaken.* Explosions filled the air with dust, we were losing many as they lost their own......
The fight waged on for what seemed as it were forever though only moments after the blue light in the sky brightened, Large loud cracks formed on the surface of Dalamud and seconds later a large engraved remnant fell to the land. Many of both sides attempted to escape this power by running. It was so large rumors say it were to have been seen at every angle of Eorzea. *This event was once again I fear could be my last.* As the dust cleared a creature born an emerged with a loud explosive event. Raining down unimaginable destruction from the sky it flew in. I could do nothing but helplessly stand and watch as this creature destroyed the land we call home. Fireballs rained in every direction......Hope.... that is all we have left though I feared it could not save us at this time. The creature became trapped as if a spell binding effect was being cast...there was still much hope in the midst as the creature became trapped within this time spell......Though it did not hold for long it quickly broke and the creature was once free again. I know not how but I was warped to a land almost as a safe haven an the skys were clear as if time has already passed by. So much peacefulness in the area. *That's all I can remember*
*I am a survivor of The Seventh Umbral Era*
