Btw, email invite doesn't have to be the only mean to get the beta started. All SE needs to do is make a Producer Letter of sorts and that is plenty of notice for Legacy members to start ...
Beta will get their own forum. And judging from what YP have just posted recently, we will get a fresh ARR forum/site/etc, and will not be using the existing 1.0 sites. Will the Beta forums be here then? or get their own forum?

Guaranteed successful new post idea:
Subject: Did you get your Beta invitation yet?
Post: I'm legacy.

I saw this and sort of took it as a hint. but I took with a grain of a grain of salt.

I have lots of work, so they can release it whenever they like. As far as they snipe out most of the bugs to make it playable, so we can start to test the balance and find out as many as we can of those little pesky bugs that are left.
Remember: "Haste make waste"![]()

Just hope the Benchmark and Beta DL are available several days, if not a week or so, before start of Beta, so everyone is not trying to DL at the same time. Then again, that would be a good test.
Idk, but what I do know is I actually applied this time.
Never again will an FF game come to light, without me trying to beta test and offer feedback.
Not after FFXIV..
It's P2P, rather than being impatient wanting the client NAO, you'd want more people to be downloading lol.
They're fine, the issue is the higher ups wanting the game out before it was ready. That wasn't really a design problem that caused it, because with time (they had barely 3 solid years) they could have optimized the engine to work with MMOs, but the higher ups wanted it out now rather than later.
Difference of opinion there I guess. From Alpha to Beta the game didn't change much imo..It's P2P, rather than being impatient wanting the client NAO, you'd want more people to be downloading lol.

Graphic engine was a bad choice that ran horribly even on some of the best systems out there.
Had horrible gui issues and an all around bland world, mixed with no lore and a biblic" tone of speech from everyone, as if they lived in the age of camelot..
This is FF. This is not "Dark age of camelot"
Can we please stop talking like we are in the bible XD.
"Who doth thouh thee thus" \puke..
FFXIV was a total failure imo and only started getting better when the new team came in.
