He has a wise looking beard, you don't, ex mea sententia he is correct.I am so glad someone posted a topic about how SE needs to go about making the game.
I really think we needed another one..
Drop a couple "Deal with it's" in there and wala.
You have another pointless topic, made by someone who has no idea what SE is really doing.. Bravo..
I see absolutely no point to this topic.
Other than the OP taking his time to try to sound smug.
Burning Crusade was considered one of the "hardest" expansions in WoW. Once LK came, many would say the difficulty took a nose dive.I havent played since Burning Crusade but I assure you its not hello kitty. Yes you can level yourself - but there are plently of opportunities to die. I suppose in groups the solo quests appear easy, but I leveled all the way to max solo (leveling was slower earlier in the release) and if you go do all the quests at their suggested levels you arent 1 shotting things (though I've been 1 shot by wandering NMs).
Also dungeons will be happy to make you run back to your body.
Though like I said I played a while ago I dont know whats changed. But seriously.. its not hello kitty lol.
I hear ya, but I think if you can even solo to max then that is a clear sign it's really too easy. If you can solo quests on top of that, I think that's just silly. The dish of a challenge is best served up in an instance apparently. That's the only time I saw any form of difficulty in XIV and even then - tank and spank generally guarantees it. Should XIV become easier in ARR I don't know what I'd do.I havent played since Burning Crusade but I assure you its not hello kitty. At least Hello Kitty doesn't put up a pretense of being anything more than fluff.
Ah, so I got the best of itlol. I remember dying a lot, and having to fight harder, then I've ever had to in FFXIV. WoW gets a lot of crap but having played both FFXI, and WoW for a few years - I never fell asleep at the keyboard * bored* from fighting in WoW like I did frequently even on boss fights in FFXI.
WoW's difficulty was never in leveling they usually had dungeons that if you weren't organized you failed in. First time in totorak at the appropriate level with only my friend we almost solo'd the whole dungeon - we got one more and it was easy peezy. I remember blackshroud (first tier wow dungeon) kicking my ass a bunch lol.I hear ya, but I think if you can even solo to max then that is a clear sign it's really too easy. I think thats a part of the misconception (imo) of WoW's difficulty is that leveling easy must mean its an easy game in all other matters - though we should note that Ispano is saying that it got much easier since WotL (which I didnt play).
(Not saying im an awesome player)

Also, the sky is blue.
But, on topic with that, I thought that in XI, Chains of Promathia made Zilart look like World 1-1 of Super Mario for the NES. Treasures of Aht Urghan wasn't necessarily "harder", at least not in my opinion, but came packed with so much content and general "shit to do" that it definitely made the game feel like each expansion brought something new and better to the table each time.
Back OFF Topic:
Stop beating that dead horse called WoW, since it's already slowly killing itself. According to their most recent patch notes, instead of trying to figure out a solution to the horrible plague there is on the community and their inability to gather in groups of 10 or greater to complete content, and then loot whores bitching about not getting loot, all the time, always. Blizzard's "Solution" was to ACCOMODATE the abominable state of the game's community, rather than attempt to improve it.
If SE ever did that to us, or anything of the sort, all my respect for them would disappear in an instant.
Damn Zehira!!! Did you sort by last post by accident?
Edit: On topic, yep the OP is still right.

I think first and foremost it's being made so it can be properly considered a numbered Final Fantasy title. Can you imagine if they left it as it was with no real legacy of fan enjoyment? The #14 would be a void in the series
There is a Yoshida quote somewhere that agrees with you (being serious.. he talked about its importance to saving the honor of a FF numbered game and SE pride itself). I'd sign that, but then its being made to be enjoyable for fans so.. its still being remade for us :P (and in return to save their future hind).

Holy... Wow, Read the post and was like WTF, someone hacked my account! Then I saw the date. Quite the necro bump there!
THEN I tried to log in... something it hasn't let me do for some time (and which SE support said I should not be able to do until Beta???), and here I am.
You folks have resurrected my forum posting ability. I'm back, baby!
