i only see torrent downloads, empty login folder, screenshot folder, config files there.
so i really have no clue
Stuff like macros or Interface are stored there.
But i allready see alot or rage coming up at release when ppl figure out that progression wasn't saved like it always happens.
This is for the new benchmark so you can see your character in the benchmark. When you log into your character it saves details about your character to your hard drive that was copied from your server's database. The full character data is actually stored in database for your server.
And i answered that already also
Do they really need to spell out that you will keep char looks, level, items, progression?
And progression isn't saved on computer. Can you imagine formatting computer, coming back to game, and all your progression is gone? really? im pretty sure that even if you deleted your SE account, your progression data would still be there. Even if you delete your char in game, the progression data is still there, since they can restore deleted chars.
I dunno why people over analyze the whole thing for the sake of being pessimistic.
If they state that char data will be carried over, then there's no reason to nitpick the whole thing, and think they only mean looks; it would be retarded if they only save looks, since it only takes a few min to make a char.
.... LOL I said I'm not answering the question. I was clarifying it because 90% of the people here keep going back and forth. You have gone back and forth with me for 2 pages of the forum already. I'm sorry if this is so confusing to people. One person asked one thing, I clearly redefined the question using quotes from SE reps themselves.
I did not answer the question. It was my hope that people, once reading the clarified question would no longer quote the Beta Schedule, something that im sure most everyone here as read, if not multiple times.
Me personally, i was also under the impression that any progression data that was attained during beta would be transferred into ARR. After reading Triairy's post, it makes the information that much more unclear. I still personally feel that what Triairy was referring to was a template that you can upload. We all know the info is saved on the server as well, considering on Nov. 1st the final save was made, and any data that was attained after Nov. 1st will not be carried over into ARR..
If you still dont get it, I dont know how else to say it im sorry
(again you'll need a rep)
I believe Triairy is talking about the saved templates you could have if you choose to when designing your characters appearance. O.o

Exactly my words.. thank you.
ya, no big dealdunno how it would work anyways; can we see inv, and equip char in benchmark? otherwise im sure we can see them in AFs anyways?
as long as i can see score ^^ may buy new graphic card if it's crappy otherwise.
I'm certain if you were even running FFXIV 1.0 then you wont need to upgrade anything for FFXIV:ARR
/cheer
(as for your question about the benchmark i'm not sure how it will work. They didnt make a statement, or at least I havent seen one.)

ya haha. i had quite low settings. with max settings i had like 1 frame/MIN. I would like to play in max settings with good FPS, cause it's boring to play in low settings.
