    I think all the known FFXI jobs would be Jobs in FFXIV and have more modern or differnt outside from FF history names like how class have in FFXIV.

    Muskeeter is a class seeing how there a guild for it and i don't see ranger being link with Muskeeter it make more sense that is link with Archer.

    SE does not need to release a 2# Job to every class at the sametime they can do that little by little. I think yoshi-p said that himself about having ninja and samurai as a job instead of a class they just need to find a class to fit with them.

    Hmm... I know it's more Monk's thing, but could a Lancer move on to using something like a bowstaff? I wonder if that would be too big a change.

    Samurai could be the second job out of Lancer, since it was a TP-gaining class.

    I do feel that the job system would need a few tweaks if you were going with this new method, simply because not every job you've added would benefit from the class. In 1.0, it made sense, because THM was basically a BLM...they just got 5 additional skills.

    A monk-like melee staff user would be amazing. I always wished they would have separated melee oriented poles from mage oriented staves in XI as different weapon types, but yeah... Still, I think it'd be awesome.

    I really, REALLY hope they do make a class based on that weapon later on. *-*

    It is a bunch of neat ideas. It looks like however that SE is going to try to get a traditional as it gets when it comes to the system.

    Some are neat ideas, but I don't see practicality in some unless done right. They all seem good in theory, and would have to see 2.0's new abilities to get a good idea. I would agree to most of this if they were altered or done right.

    The Rogue > Thief = Ninja idea can be done with ease. It also relates to traditional job elements of the FF series. It could be that Thief focuses on DPS, and Ninja could be an evasion based tank that uses Ninpo to keep hate on enemies. Thief could utilize damage with applied affects to their weapons like poison and focus on abilities that require being behind an enemy or stealth.

    I will go ahead and put both Gladiator and Marauder into the paragraph here. And I can't say if any of this could work till we see the abilities of both GLA and MRD in 2.0 (developers did say that each job would be reworked, if that means their concept or overall abilities is unknown). However, I think it would make sense to have Dark Knight over with Gladiator assuming that GLA gets more DPS oriented abilities, would give them a 2-handed sword that would work well in being opposite sword and shield. As for WAR, not only can it be a tank, but also a fully capable DPS. I can't say what could be MRD's second job, but if DRK was put in there and made it differ greatly from WAR, it could fit.

    Green Mage would be very hard to implement (not impossible), but difficult. Green Mage would have to bring something to the table that WHM and BRD don't, because they are known as a buffing class also.

    Your Bard = Ranger idea feels inevitable that it is going to happen. While BRD does pretty okay damage, it can fall behind on DPS when it needs to go focus on buffing or possibly back up healing. Ranger full DPS would be a force to reckon with.

    For Musketeer, having an Engineer job would be neat. Perhaps make something similar to Edgar from FFVI where you utilize tools for the right situation against enemies.
