What's the story behind your character's name?

Directly inspired by my real name. ^^'

Michael Sharpedge, which is going to be my name in ARR, is a little bit more inspired. Michael is my second name (>.<) and Sharpedge, well, I guess you can make an educated guess on this one.

I mostly just narrowed my name down from a ton of potentials that sounded right together. :x This was the first time I had to come up with a surname.

Neasa: "In Irish legend she was the mother of Conchobhar, king of Ulster. According to some versions of the legend she was originally named Assa meaning "gentle", but was renamed Ni-assa "not gentle" after she sought to avenge the murders of her foster fathers."

"Vera \v(e)-ra\ as a girl's name is pronounced VEER-ah. It is of Russian and Slavic origin, and the meaning of Vera is "faith". Also sometimes associated with the Latin word "verus" meaning "truth", and can also be derived from Albanian "verë" meaning "summer"."

It's funny when I get on something like Vent, because no one knows how to pronounce "Neasa." Nay-sa, Nasa... People say nee-a-sa... I think "Nay-sa" sounds the best, but whatever.

I forget what I named my chocobo... I'm a lousy owner, I guess. I know it was derived from Quetzalcoatl, but I can't remember exactly. XD
My retainer names are my cats... Priss and Sylvie (And THEIR names come from Bubblegum Crisis).

Mercutio - The character created by Shakespeare, has always held a place in my heart as one of the most well written characters in the world.

Montealvo- An old name from my father's side of the family. My great great great grandfather had to change the name because he was on the run from the Mexican police for murdering 2 people. We have been Ramos ever since.

since there is no way for me to check my choco/companion/retainers, I kinda forgotten. lol

But @ least I do remember my choco name is Bokojunior, from FF5 and adding junior @ the end. My companion is a warrior Miqo'te since I like to see a tough kitty. XD
Too bad she's kinda forgotten for a long time since ended story mode for like more than half year.

And my retainer are female Hume and male Lala. I remember giving simple names, so simple that I also forgot it too. lol

Mine been inspired by kingdom hearts, i love the story and such of it. Its deep, just like ff14 now is . Along with my country and my liking for pets and such, and the adventurous nature, along with many mix of characters in me, made the way my character looks, play and named

Katja was the name of my XI character, which came from my high school german class. On the first day of my first class my freshman year, we had to pick a name (from a list of german names) that started with the same letter as our first name and that is what we were called when we were in class. For four years I was known as Katja and when I was making my character it just seemed to fit

Grace, is just my middle name lol. My husband harassed me often for having a boring character name, but I don't care :P I'll most likely change my surname to match whatever he chooses for 2.0 since I kind of wished that I had from the beginning

My choco name is Logiebear - which is my son's nick name (Logan) He is 3 now, and it seemed fitting to have him in the game with me. I'm hoping we can name our legacy choco as well, and I will name that one Katiesaurus which is my 18mo daughter's nick name.
