Then just say so!
I think any sane person would prefer:
"This is what we have so far! Shadows have not been implemented yet, and more optimization is in the works."

Instead of this:

4k is so last year, havn't you heard of 8k?
but like people say, it doesn't matter, if all content is in 720 anyways. and i dont think game companies are gonna start making 8k res games anytime soon, or 4k for that matter.
Be thankful we got:
Instead of:
I'm getting sick of digital photos instead of the actual screenshots! *glares at the benchmark blog post, and the live letter "hold up a print out of stuff" nonsense*
Nah, 4k sucks, 8k (7680 × 4320) or nothing. (*Still has 720p TV*)
Imagine playing FFXIV on this!
This is true. Price is an issue for the UHD displays but content is a bigger one. Even with a 4k display there's nothing that's going to give you anything to put on it. No consoles (so far) will support that resolution, no TV channels broadcast that resolution (though NHK did do a limited test with it), no Blu-ray will display at that resolution.
You could use it as a high resolution PC monitor but you're going to need a good PC (you probably have one if you can afford a 4k TV) to run any games at that resolution on it.
actually 1920x1080 is considered 1080 res, so 7680x4320 would be 4k. dunno if 8k is just a mix-up or just the next step they are working on. that'd be useful for projectors and those 100+inch monitors though i guess. not so much for standard TV on PC monitors. cause you already barely see pixels in 1080.
Nope. You'd think so though, I'm not sure why they've changed this.actually 1920x1080 is considered 1080 res, so 7680x4320 would be 4k. dunno if 8k is just a mix-up or just the next step they are working on. that'd be useful for projectors and those 100+inch monitors though i guess. not so much for standard TV on PC monitors. cause you already barely see pixels in 1080.

Currently two resolutions are called UHDTV:
4K UHDTV (2160p) has a resolution of 3840 × 2160 (8.3 megapixels), 4 times the pixels of 1080p.
8K UHDTV (4320p) has a resolution of 7680 × 4320 (33.2 megapixels), 16 times the pixels of current 1080p HDTV, which brings it to roughly the detail level of 15/70mm IMAX. NHK advocates the 8K UHDTV format with 22.2 surround sound as Super Hi-Vision.
You are going backwards SE. The last dev post resolution was 600x338
This time we got 400x259.
400x259 pixels:
