I love ELdr Scrolls, but it seems to get weaker in each new edition. SO I can't be hyped about it until they have soemthig nstable to show.
GW2 let me down so I'll stick with ARR if the alpha was any indication of it.

I think TESO and FFXIV:ARR are two totally different MMOs that will be just fine on their own because they hit different areas in the market.
If there is an impact on subscriptions, why does it have to be TESO taking from FFXIV:ARR and not the other way around? On either side though, I don't imagine the subscription dropping to be too substantial for the reason I gave above. These games are for different types of gamers.
100 billion or so meaningless quests against the quality of ARR, TESO does not stand a chance in the long run. Sure I wouldnt be surprised if they get mmorpg of the year but that would not mean jack to me. TESO will probably will have its niche audience but I dont see any real FF fans leavein ARR for that game unless they aren't real FF fans. I cannot emphasize enough how extremely over hyped that game will be and I can see it going Pay to win in less than a year.
Here is something for those playing Skyrim ~ tgm : thats togle god mode. End of game. Muaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!
Exactly, those who like real MMOs and those who will play games like TESO.I think TESO and FFXIV:ARR are two totally different MMOs that will be just fine on their own because they hit different areas in the market.

I never played the older elder scroll games, but I did play Skyrim. Honestly I really did enjoy playing Skyrim but I think FF ARR has much more to offer in the long run. Skyrim was a great game, and I'm sure elder scrolls online will be even greater, but FF ARR has so many more features, like crafting is more involved, the job system, and combat system has a lot more flexibility, biggest draw back for me in skyrim was the fact that I could only use basically two skills at a time left click or right click depending on what I would equip, and that gets boring pretty fast. I don't think elder scrolls will effect the player base that much in FF ARR. Basically if somebody is a first person shooter type player they will stick to those types of games and somebody who loves RPG's will stick to RPG's, so elder scrolls online will attract mostly players who would most likely not play FF ARR anyways.
if SE didnt cater to everyone else instead of FF fanboys then they wouldnt have to worry about losing subs to that game.
everythign ff7 and before is better then rest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()

Everything is a threat/rival for ARR, since it's the black sheep of the MMO genre thanks to it's legendary launch.
I know some diehard TES fans aren't interested in it, and they have their reasoning. I'm interested. I don't think it will ever beat FFXIV for me because FF is rather important to me and the friends I've made in FFXIV are incredible people I wouldn't want to be without. Still, TESO is undoubtedly interesting to me in the same way that other TES games are interesting to me. I'd love to explore them, but I can't see myself playing it full time. The only MMOs that have ever got me playing more than a couple of months are FF MMOs.
doop doop
TESO looks ugly and boring![]()
The Elder Scrolls Online looks even more terrible than Oblivion or Skyrim. I would say there's nothing to worry about. My money would be on another hype -> flop like all the MMOs released last year..
