To add to this, it was said that current character names will be carried over even with the maximum amount of characters per first/last name being changed. If you change names though you'll have to adhere to the new limit.

I've doubt you can change your name or it would had beens stated before.

Even if you are a legacy member and still wanna change your name, your old name will be still in credits. lol
