Nice ideas Yru.

I hope achievements reward fully experiencing the game and helping other players, rather than being only an exercise in patience and sacrifice of leisure-time, as the majority seemed to be in 1.0. I am not looking forward to running 9,000 caravans or whatever those achievements totalled.

My suggestions:

Kill one of each type of monster in a given zone or attain all drops from each monster.

Class-based combat action achievements (as per LotRO), eg: heal for a certain amount of hp, score a certain number of crits, damage dealt from at least a given distance away.

Lore collection; finding NPCs and other lore descriptions about the world.

Item collection; I loved collecting the U/U items, but was sad when I ran out of space on my two retainers for them... It would have been nice to have had a checklist that got revealed and marked off as they were received.

Number of people partied with!

And my favourite: an achievement every ten levels if you haven't been KO'd with the reward simply being that your name is displayed in a different colour, and possibly a glowing subligar (there was a thread about that as a solution to some players' desire for a 'hardcore' server).
