And if they weren't anywhere we wouldn't have jumpers at all!

It would be pretty cool if we played on a world with little to no gaps, holes and puddles (which doesn't translate to "perfectly flat"). Oh, we do.

Ordelle's caves-syndrome at work here.
It's a case of broken-record syndrome more like. You just arguing in circles.
Besides, this is a beta, they can implement future zones with more jumping-related topography in mind if they so choose. So quit limiting FFXIV's potential, please.
Nope, simply pointing out the flaws in your logic. The more you struggle the longer this continues, too. It's a case of broken-record syndrome more like. You just arguing in circles.
Then why not implement jumping when the mysterious "future zones" are in place? There's more than enough to fix in this game as-is.
Why jump when you can just fall? "BECAUSE THERE ARE TWO GAPS IN THE WHOLE WORLD YOU CAN'T FALL OVER AND IN THE FUTURE THERE MIGHT BE SOMETHING ELSE TOO, I'M SERIOUS". -gifthorse
Lol, I never said it was a priority. If you want flawed logic, just look at your posts. On one hand you say SE designed the world in such a way that jump is not necessary to exploration, on the other you say they should implement jump after they add more zones and only if those zones need it. But you must realise, but im sure you probably dont, that jump must be implemented first or at the very least be in the pipeline before they would ever design a zone with it in mind.Nope, simply pointing out the flaws in your logic. Then why are you defending it's implementation? Talk about flawed logic.Lol, I never said it was a priority.
Jumping right now is completely and utterly meaningless. If it someday becomes meaningful some way or the other, it can be implemented, but not before as there are more important issues to deal with that actually benefit the game right now and not "someday".
While this was a nice addition, a jump feature would still add more depth, variety, and challenge to new (or re-worked) areas.
In my not so humble opinion this issue is "half/quick fixed" .
