solace, beta will start sometime in feb, not jan. Alpha just ended, they announced a while back they are way behind schedule.

I remember the alpha application saying that alpha testers don't need to reapply for pc beta test. But they will probably have to apply for the ps3 beta... Just wait till the beta application comes; I'm sure they'll write which situation requires players to apply...

That is a good point. I mean I signed up for PS3 Beta on the Alpha application. I'm pretty sure that was the reason why I did not get into Alpha. I want to get into Phase 1 Beta as a Legacy member, however does that mean I forfeit getting into PS3 beta, which happens in Phase 3? Or will I be able to do both?

I will change my beta app to PC if that is the case. :P

Is it confirmed that FFXIV:ARR will run better on windows 8 and is convenient for the promised DX11?

Not so sure about ARR but 1.0 seemed like it runs betters in windows 8...

Windows 8 is a tighter 7, from my experience at least things are just smoother - start menu is absolutely useless to me but otherwise good stuff :P

A graphic milestone is planned sometime after release of ARR. DX11 support is planned to be updated then.

You were able to sign up for ps3 beta using alpha application? I don't remember that option...

It asked you what platform you want to test from. PC or PS3 the question was as simple as that. At the time you didn't know that PS3 was not going to be available in Alpha. So if I selected PS3 I obviously would automatically not get picked for Alpha :P That kinda sucks if you ask me. I basically made my self ineligible because I wanted to test on PS3!

So is the same true for Beta? If I select PS3 will I not be able to get into PC version?
