It was factually not. The tab was only updated once it was too late for those who read the tab and joined because of it.
There were updates on the lodestone but they scrolled down the list in history - never was this information appended to the main tab which never moved until it was - too - late.
So.. no people didnt lack english/reading comprehension skills.
Yeah, that's why there were 329324 threads by people asking if they were too late to get legacy... or arguing about what "cumulative" meant, right? I don't think so.
People genuinely interested in legacy followed the campaign on the lodestone, and all the info was also supplied in the promotional mail sent to attract more people. If those people were really interested, they'd get legacy as well.
All the history posts were linked at the bottom of the legacy campaign page, so all they had to do was to click on a link and read. If they didn't, it's their own fault.

You shouldnt expect people to go into the forums to "check" if they can get legacy. Keeping in mind that people coming from the outside wouldnt have an account to login to the forums in the first place.Yeah, that's why there were 329324 threads by people asking if they were too late to get legacy... or arguing about what "cumulative" meant, right? Its not someones fault for not dredging history when there is clearly a tab on the left hand side with information on legacy.
At no point on the tab does it say "please look else were for more information" the logical idea is that a company put all the infromation in one place. Obviously SE didnt pick the logical route, until too late.
AS they did update their page - but not with enough warning.
But like I said I dont think many people fit into this case, most were people who just werent interested and knew about it.

just for the sake of it, you don't need an account to read the forums, only to post. However the links were to older lodestone issues, and they can very well expect people to read those. They offered us a campaign as a thank you for our loyalty. A little initiative to get the information is of course expected.
Most likely. That's why the whole discussion here won't be leading anywhere... And should die in a fire. But like I said I dont think many people fit into this case, most were people who just werent interested and knew about it.

Never should a business do such (expect players to look for information in many places), that is horrible service and site management (business job to be concise and overt). That said SE is a foreign company and I can see such as this, specially on a almost flopped game, that perhaps everything wont/cant go as it should.just for the sake of it, you don't need an account to read the forums, only to post. Anybody that was aware of the information and ignored it and then came back later pissed - I'm on bored with the "no come on.. really?" feelings - though some are too harsh in how they address the issues (both sides - imo).
So yeah.. lol this is just a thread to be a thread I guess. Since super legacy isnt going to happen lol and 'giving out' legacy would be a really bad action. (Some say sarcasm for OP but w.e, if you make a thread, specially on sarcasm, expect all responses lol).

Come on now. Are you saying it's too much to ask someone to click on a link at the end of a newspost saying "see here for more details"? That's silly to say the least. And SE being a foreign company has nothing to do with it.
Besides, the whole legacy deal isn't even that beneficial for SE in the long run since they're losing revenue on us. One more reason them giving out legacy again won't happen, imho.
