    i cant see for what do we need a vita version? you want to play 30 minutes while in a bus or what? find a group.. do a raid.. its just not possible.. there is no pause button like for offline games..
    There is much more to the game than dungeon raids... crafting, gathering, quests, missions, exploration, farming, house and retainer management, etc, etc.

    Also, some people travel around quite a bit and don't want to lug a heavy system around with them.

    wii u version instead would make much much more sense. but i said that thousand of times before in here already.

    I don't speak for everyone but I hardly type while playing the game. No time to chitchat when I'm doing something entertaining. Like playing the game..

    Wii U controller.. You cant even leave the house with it.

    You do know that a touchscreen keyboard can easily be semi-transparent, right?

    Lots of nay-sayers nitpicking on the technical side of this when Yoshi-P has already said it's possible to run it on the Vita.

    If he says it's possible, then he's looked into it and knows it can be done. If anyone doesn't think it can be done, than I suggest they do some more research on the PSVita and find out why they are wrong.

    Can it be profitable? Eh..

    I still think it would be in Sony's best interest to help fund a port. It only helps out the PSVita in the long term.

    Can it technically be done? I have no doubt.

    Will it be a good investment? esp. on Vita? ehh.....

    Is it a good form factor for the genre? Not in the least in my opinion. I like my Vita, but as nice as that screen is, it's too damned small to convey the amount of information needed at a readable size. Maybe you all have no issue with playing a game with size 6 font, but I'll hold off on killing my eyes for awhile longer.

    Sega is putting PSO2 on Vita, but PSO was always more of a dungeon crawler. So I am guessing it would be possible for SE to put 14 on Vita, but then Vita is so unpopular its probably not worth it for them.

    This means that the PS2 version did limit the PC version in the fact that it was almost a straight conversion of PS2 assets.

    When you downscale starting from the PC version for other platforms, the process is entirely different, and the PC version isn't negatively affected in any way.
    Your absolutely right. However there is still a memory limitation to the amount of characters that can be visible on the screen at one time. PS3 can handle this fine, however the Vita may not because it's memory limitations are even more extreme. Plus your limiting the bandwidth pipeline to wireless ONLY. That could be troublesome if you happen to be in a unreliable wireless network. Which are notorious for high latency and disconnects on MMO's.

    I like your idea, and your right there is no reason why it wouldn't work. However I'm not sure the potential audience on the Vita since it is still fairly new is worth the investment and trouble for Square Enix. I assure you they will be very cautious after FFXIV launch flop on any other risky development adventures!

    It would be better if they developed for the PS4.

    However Yoshida, had hinted in the past about potential mobile solutions. Like LS chat, Auction House management, Character transfer/changes, etc... couldn't think of anymore possibilities.
