Wish i could play halo 4, my first generation Xbox 360 finally decided it was time. though I'm amazed at what 50 bucks of aftermarket parts and proper air flow did for its life expectancy.

Tried XI for the billionth time... couldn't get past the low-level-super-boring-grind-from-hell. Killing bees, then killing bees, then killing bees... mindbreakingly hearing the first ten or twenty seconds of the battle theme play repetitively before moving on... occasionally switching my book levequest thingie as I progress further in level... slowly running back to the city to get a new exp ring and re-casting signet and selling crystals... Patience is a virtue, yes... but this kind of patience is unrewarding, tasteless, and gratingly boring. If the developers were to add one thing in the new expansion, it's some sort of interesting lower-levelled content.

In Final Fantasy XIV, even at launch, I arrived on caravan into an Ul'dahn parade and fought a goddamned Gobbue, then started to solve a political controversy, while having fun doing leves in a big group with my irl friends. The game systems were broken as hell and I lagged pretty badly, but at least I had some semblance of progression and fun for my time invested in the lower levels, unlike XI. In Final Fantasy XI, I walk into San'Doria/Bastok/Windurst and struggle through the boring-ass grind and unbelievably counter-intuitive interface. Anyone who says that XIV 2.0's interface should be more like XI's deserves to have their mouth sewn out and their vocal cords surgically removed and their fingers chopped off. I have a lot of friends who are far in the game so I'll just watch then play like I sometimes do, and watching the cutscenes on YouTube.

I just wish that I could get over that barrier because I really want to participate in that endgame.

Tried AION again... bajillions of gold farmers. At level 30, my blocklist was full of them, and that's just from the occasional trip to Sanctum to turn in quests and get new skillbooks. However, I heard there's this legal mod that autoblocks them, and I'm having a lot of fun with group content. At almost level 40, I kick ass as a Templar tank... so much that people ask for me to tank again and again. The content is much less grindy and more streamlined, especially when using the free exp bonus items and levelling on the fast-track server. Content comes at a decent pace and the servers aren't... that bad... Might go see that through. It's much better than how it was. The PVE community so far is nice, but that's probably because I tank well (Tanking A-labs with players 7 levels above me, and still holding aggro over the mages like a boss) and form groups a lot... and thanks to the fast track server, I can get help on my campaign quests quickly. The gear grind is rng-based but worth it. I wish I could say the same for enchanting and mana-socketing... *cough* But there are cash-shop and event-based items that get rid of that.

Tried Mabinogi again. Bad idea for now. Servers are mismanaged as hell and there are bugs and glitches galore. The battle system still remains as the most frustratingly, skilltasticly fun battle system ever, but when combined with the latency, lag, and class imbalances, gets me killed a LOT. Nexon's customer support still remains the worst in human civilization. They do come out with content a lot... and a lot of it I am very interested in, and the story is amazing. However, I can never get to that content because there is always something.

Hoowwweeeevvverrrr, the game's faults are becoming less prevalent with every patch (which is good), the servers are becoming more stable (which is great), and after speaking with Sabina, the community representative, I found out that they'll be getting a higher budget and hiring more GMs (which is amazing). Right now isn't a good time to play mabinogi, but I definately plan to once I finish my military service in three or four years. At the rate they're going, they'll have an amazing game by 2016. Plus, the community is increasing a lot every day, especially on alexina. Newbies run amok and there are more than a lot of helpful players. The community still stands to be amazing and resilient against all of the game's flaws... much like the community of FFXI.

I may or may not be in the Alpha, but if I were, then I would have completed pretty much everything it has. *cough* And enjoyed it a lot.

After a long break, MineCraft remains as my go-to game. I made a new file and I'm hard-coring the crud out of it. I always seem to find something new to do, especially when it comes to redstone circuitry. Soon I plan on messing around with fireworks, and maybe hosting a server launch fireworks contest once it goes live. After playing since alpha, MineCraft remains as my most beloved game.

So far, I'm thinking AION and MineCraft. I'm skilled at both and I'm going to be making a small MC server next month so I can play with friends.

Vindictus is fun, but Nexon likes to kick its players in the balls, take their wallet, and them lick the delicious tears off their cheeks.

Mostly just been playin LoL and Dungeon Defenders with friends.
People suggest playing some MMOs become like a second job and nowhere is this more true than with EVE Online.

Yeah, I'm trying to find a decent "grown-up" legion to join as although it's a decent game, the community I found is pretty immature and obnoxious. I'm 34 years old and feel so out of place. I guess when you go F2P you get the "F2P crowd".

I'm also staying away from PvP whenever possible, it's not really my thing and I'm still too low level to be anything other than gank-food anyway. I've nothing against PvP as a principle but when the main factor of battles is who can stun-lock their opponent the most then it ruins it a bit for me. Also, playing as a cleric I'm bound to just get zerg rushed whenever possible.

You may not have noticed, but you can find me on the Wall of Fame (when the tavern is normal) and a map of my creation (Tower Wars) in the official game in Dungeon Defenders.

I've been enjoying some dungeon crawls in DDO again but it gets old fast especially when those idiots start talking over the built in VoIP. DDO reminds me why I'm glad XIV is not a quest hub type game and instead has a large open world to explore.

Tried getting back into TSW but it sucks balls still and will continue to do so apparently since they just went f2p. That's code for we're not fixing the game, here buy this $10 shirt instead. Thinking about this makes me so thankful to Yoshi-P and team that they didn't take the game down this route when they could have and it would have been so much easier. Instead we are getting a brand new, quality game that will be worthy of the Final Fantasy franchise. I'll be forever loyal to SE for the actions they have taken to repair this game.

Also just playing a lot of offline games. Thank jeebus for Steam and the like. Oh, by the way, Baldur's Gate...still the best RPG ever made.

I think time away from XIV just makes me realize how much I enjoy interacting with the people who play this game. Which is weird to say because I've always been pretty sure that I hate you guys. Maybe it is a love/hate thing. /shrug

I wouldn't say it's a scam but it does have it's share of issues. On a side note this game is pre-order Alpha. Where you are playing through the game before it is officially released. You pay $15 to get into the game. (the game is supposed to retail for $50-60 stand alone game with micro transaction market. It was never intended to be a finished game and is discounted to generate revenue for the game and get ppl playing it.

Minecraft did the exact same development route. You buy it for $15 while it was in development and enjoy playing it "as is". When it released they started charging $30 to play. It's the same concept.
The developers are doing a pretty bad job of PR and letting the public know that this game "IS" in development. So ppl buy it up for cheap expecting a finished game when it is not. So they get angry, and rightfully so. But it's a unrealistic expectation not a fault in the game.

It is hardcore where other players can loot your items, and you must collect food and water to survive or die from starvation or dehydration.

If you can respect the challenge of a survival game this game is for you! Playing solo starting out is a HUGE challenge! because it's you against the world! Oh and a horde of zombies! Which compared to the players are easy

I have a group of players I trust and play on a regular basis. It's extremely fun at times in a group! And your friends if you die can usually pick off your attacker and give back your stuff!

I have ran into my share of hackers, which the developers need to find a fix for.

I love this game! Night time is pitch black and you CAN NOT compensate by jacking up your gamma! Which is the way games should be if your going to take night hunting seriously! and you really need to use it for cover!

but it's a game you really need to reset your expectations on before you get into. Play it for the survival horror it is!

    Wish I had someone to play that with, I am a lonely scavenger who is afraid to log in because I prefer melee weapons over ranged and I am best at scavenging for supplies and handling zombies, not douchebag players. ; ;
