Because my Ex-Linkshell Vote to move on Ragnarok :/ Now i have left this LS because of to many drama scene in the last week of 1.0. Pepeol start bit$%? each other and i didnt want to be part of this group, drama scene anymore. I Hope we can move from server in ARR or else we are going to be only 6-7 players left from my old LS. Im NA players who used to play on EU server and i dislike the low rate of NA players at my gaming time.I trully hope i can move to a new servers. And some other LS i visited was just acting racist. If you'r not from our country ur going to be at the bottom of the list for loot, we appreciate your skill but you'll have to wait till we all have our items before getting some. Totally dislike. Still i have met some really nice pepeol there and i'am really sad to leave them behind.

It feels like you're in an arcade or something, not a breathing world. It's not really an RPG anymore. At least not what RPG's used to be. And I think they were much better before. Ultima Online is still unchallenged as far as the kind of deep experience you'd get from that kind of game.

But maybe you love the current state of MMO's and you want more of that kind of thing. That's fine. I definitely want something else.
I don't know where you get your conclusions from my post. This game is full of bad ideas.

Hey, someone can declare war on your settlement without your consent... so don't go on vacation!

That story about the tank sacrificing himself for the team is laughable. NO one in their right mind would even have a character at death-99 much less take it on a boss battle... why you say? Because, Once they get to death 80 they'll realize that all their other goals are out of reach and they will a) retire that character and use it as a trophy or b) quit game because they've lost all motivation.

Also, the people who excel will be gigantic trolls. Why bother working for anything if it's just gonna get perma-deleted? It would be better to just troll PvP poor souls who go afk at the wrong moment and loot THEIR things. It's not like they'll be able to do anything about it. That way you won't feel bad at perma death because you didn't work for it anyway right?

Yoshi's strictly controlling PvP simply because that's the right thing to do for the survival of the game. ToA will NOT be fun. ARR will be fun. That's what matters to me most in a game. Not all that stuff you said up there.

You guys need to move your back and forth discussion to the ToA forums so it can actually help develop it.

Also, the game is meant to be played with 'survival of the fittest' in mind, of course it won't be fun because it's direction wasn't made with the casual mindset. It's made for people who finds the thrill of the chance to be different from the rest of the crowd, wether their efforts are from gimmicks or not, they do what they can to stay on top of things. And the game actually makes it much more worthwhile to be at the top of your game.

But one of the perennial gripes about MMOs is A) Not enough content or B) content that exists is all similar. Both of these things cause boredom, one of the two things that kills it for me (The other is frustration.)
A has become less of a problem these days, MMOs have been releasing with plenty of content so it's B that's the issue and it seems to be the issue ARR will face if Alpha is any indication of the mechanics SE is going for since the content thus far in terms of at least main progression is exactly the same as every other MMO which will cause people to get bored as fuck very quickly.

Thanks for ignoring the last paragraph! But at least we're back on topic...

No, I don't doubt that after a while people will wake up and be like "Hey, this is like, just like that thing I did a while a go...

The important thing is that we can have the option of going to do something else. Too many MMOs tie endgame to one type of content, be it PvP, Events, or dungeons. You can't do that and expect people to continue to be interested.

So long as there is more than one type of endgame, people can do something else once they're bored with one type of content.

    the same for ARR..

especially when the alpha is SO MUCH cut...

only quests and leves playable.. 3 base classes, 1 region, no missions, no raids, no story missions, no grand companies, no market system, no housing..no choco breeding..
no endgame, no limit-break, no public events (fate), no prime fights...

whatever.. at least "nothing" is playable in alpha in comparison to the release/beta version

so its also really "stupid" and awkward from the thread opener to call it a "WoW" because of alpha videos.
oh there are quests in it. its WoW ^! ya know.. its o yah.. wee.. its the only thing which is activated in alpha yet.

so sick of that comparison. in Final Fantasy 12 you also have plenty sidequests.. ew.. its WoW!

PSO2 was ruined by SEGA's incompetence. The game makes it so that playing Ranger equates to you steamrolling the entire fucking game. Not that it was much harder on Hunters or Force. It's also pay 2 win garbage, especially with MAGs. The combat itself is good, but it suffers from the same shit that TERA did; shit content. The fact that people actually trust Sega of America is frightening. Especially after Spiral Knights.

TES:O is going to be the same fucking shit as SWTOR. The same. Fucking. Shit. Down to the goddamn engine. It's pretty much gone against everything TES has been about. People think a dev known for ignoring bug checks + a buggy engine is going to make a formidable MMO against it's competition?

I'm not saying that FFXIV:ARR will be this massive hit with the MMO community, it'll still have it's niche. But to say that either of those games is legitimately going to be more interesting is asinine.
