Sound greatmaybe it feel more like a Final fantasy game with better looking WS,Spell
and maybe there fixing the copy/paste issue also.

Not a fan of the new size at all... Poking a monster with a spear now results in a titanic explosion of pyrotechnics. This, in combination with the monster size increase, makes me feel like an insect armed with a bazooka. It's kind of getting ridiculous.
I personally love what they've done. It's a fantasy after all. The effects are noticeable, but not to big. It's great, and I love it! I don't get why you don't, but I guess everyone has their own opinions, and likes.
This has WIN written all over it![]()
Think back to FF I-IX and remember the slash/stab marks on enemies. Its kinda like that now i'd say.

Seriously who in the hell decided to do this with battle effects. This is retched. These effects can turn people with no history of seizure or strokes into blithering drooling idiots. All I see on my friggin screen is explosions of light. This a horrible change. The community asking for better effects didn't mean just increase the damn size.
In even a 4 man party you can barely see the damn mob, now in an 8 man prty is a damn 70's disco show going off with each attack
- Yank the friggin flashes off attacks
- Replace flashes with more unique animations
- Add better spells effects, not larger ones
I have loved nearly all the changes the new team has done, but this is just stupid.

As expected, the changes were bad. good skill animations like concussive blow II and brutal swing II animations now are just covered by the extremely oversized battle effects. What a shame. But its just this dev team pattern...we got:
-Bigger monsters
-Bigger Rank up message
-Bigger battle effects
-Bigger HP/MP/TP gauges
-faster gathering animations (well, faster = when you make speed bigger =P)
Seens like making stuff bigger is the way of them to fix things...so don't complain about lalafells or they might resize them too! ><
I dunno, I like the bigger/sharper HP/MP/TP gauges. The battle effects arent "blinding" either, and after running around NM hunting in a 5 person party the other day, I could see the monsters just fine. Even when fighting a normal enemy or watching a larger party we could still keep track. I know this isnt the only change, but it actually worked out nicely in making what we already have, look better...and actually closer to classic FF titles, with the large slashing/magic effects.
Buffs like Rampart and Ferocity look alot better just from the sharpness and size increase. Skull Sunder actually looks like a concussive wave that could cause slashing damage over time, not just some small, fairly normal looking slash attack. That and you guys might need to space out abit, take advantage of your weapon's attack radius.
EDIT: And there is also the point one of the team members made that this wasnt the only thing that was going to happen.

I like how they increased the size of a lot of effects. Have you seen the effect for Phalanx? it looks so awesome now, even sounds more awesome (even tho it probably has the same sound effect)
