I don't think this worth to start a new thread, so I'll post the graph I made for the relationship between twelves... and what they do according to the description at Character Creation
it's a huge jpg...
at Character Creation screen, it's really too much information to read. So I also add what each god did, what's their specialty and their elements for these ppl care about little details. ^^
I still dreaming one day they will be matter, so I made this to clear my mind.
There are some info is missing, such as why Nald'Thal and Oschon are brothers but no info about Nald'Thal to Althyk's relationship. Another mystery is Thaliak and Azeyma's relationship.

We need to keep in mind that what we have seen of Nophica and Nald'thal are in fact merely artistic interpretations of these gods.
In religion, we often see what we want to see, not what really is. For example, many paintings of the virgin Mary are depicted in a wealthy medieval setting despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. These stem from society and reality as the painter saw it, not how it really was. This is not a bad thing - it is simply an aspect of human nature that we would be wise to be mindful of.
Presuming the twelve even have humanoid forms, they have not been seen in Eorzea for a very long time. Artistic impressions are unlikely to be accurate.

From what i understand of the lore. The Twelve do not have "bodies".
It's like describing a modern day company. The Twelve are a more abstract being than the primals worshipped by the beast tribes. The closest thing is the symbols, which marks their influence, and archons, which again do not resemble them truly and can be replaced with something else, like a "toon of the gods."

I think they are talking about what they looks like at human format as our cutiest eye mentioned:
so I guess it applied to the hmm bust size... it get more and more epic each time
4. Do the Twelve exist? Are the Archons from the Circle of Knowing actually the Twelve? Are the primals and the Twelve one in the same (er, twelve in the same)?
More info on the gods of Eorzea and how both the Twelve and the primal fit into the whole celestial scheme of things will be revealed in ARR, but even then things will remain hazy. I mean, it’s religion. It’s hazy by design. In one age, a guy who single-handedly kills a microchu to save a girl is a good Samaritan. The story gets told by a thousand different people, each time changing just a little, but each time becoming more epic (the microchu becomes an ochu, the ochu becomes ten ochus, the girl becomes a princess, and so-on). In the next age, he’s a hero. In the next, he’s a saint. In the next, he’s a god, smiting ochus with levinbolts from high atop a snowy peak. And what of those people who possess magic or technology that is beyond the comprehension of the commonfolk? Would they not appear as gods? And what about those powerful entities who fancy themselves as gods, and use people gullible enough to follow them to obtain what they desire (power, gold, etc.)? And what of the actual gods, who normally don’t give a hoot about the ants crawling about their realms, but will intervene when it amuses them? Hopefully the story in ARR will help categorize who falls into what slot.
I can mention why primals are referred to as primals, though. It is not because they are underdeveloped, younger deities, but because the beast tribes tend to believe that they were the ones who created them, the world, and everything. They are the primal forms of existence.

but seriously i want to know too! 1.0 didnt make a big deal out of em, and at the end of the world trailer when loux summoned the seal on Behe near the end of the video their signs surrounded him.. i think that (and going to /pray at different locations to the Twelve for the quest) are the closest involvement they had in FFXIV... wish to see more on them in ARR..
that was really awesome, ive read em before but the picture you made helps allot with understanding exactly the relations between them, thank mate !I don't think this worth to start a new thread, so I'll post the graph I made for the relationship between twelves... and what they do according to the description at Character Creation

So it's reasonable to say that world has no gods. Just beings that transcend the limititation of most races.
Sooooo if I kill Bahamut, with my companion tonberry. I would go down in history as a Red Wizard, then over-time become a God? Sounds lame to be honest. I do like to be recognzied for the things I do, no I don't like it being exaggerated making me something I am not.
And saying I am a Red Wizard in not an exaggeration.

You have no choice in this, Lieutenant. You will be applauded and however you react to it will only enhance your legacy. Your seven companions will eventually become your pawns and then forgotton. History doesn't care what YOU think. So it's reasonable to say that world has no gods. Just beings that transcend the limititation of most races.

And you will be remembered as a Black Mage.
