I'm sure Yoshi-P won't be loosing any sleep over loosing you as a subscriber and the community won't miss your constant whining either. You'd lose the bet, unless they invited *all* those that hold an active account. This has never been about just me, as much you and a few others try your hardest to shift the debate on a personal level.
I'm sure you'll be able to quote where I said they have the "obligation" to do anything. Please. Do try. Humor me. Add as many exclamation marks as you wish too, if you think it makes your point look more solid.
One thing is pointing out an obligation (which as far as I know no one here did) another is pointing out what would be the right and fair thing to do. No one here is holding SE at a gunpoint. Or saying "SE DO WHAT WE WANT OR ELSE!" We're offering criticism. Criticism doesn't involve necessarily involve obligations.
All customer relations are based on a compromise between what the company needs and what the customer needs. It's the very basic concept of commerce. But thanks for trying to warp my argument because you can't counter it in its original form.
It is so abundantly clear to almost anyone reading this that you think alpha is beta. You sir need to learn to admit when you are just plain wrong or even better when to keep it shut in the first place.
And Abby thinks he has a brain."If I only had a brain" I miss that movie
.
You're making a rather large assumption, as I'm personally not going anywhere.
And you think you can talk for "the community". guess what? You can't.
And you may want to learn the fact that you're not in the position to decide what is "plain wrong" or not. I'm sure some would love critics to just "keep it shut". Guess what? That won't happen, because expressing criticism is one of the primary purposes of this forum, no matter how much you dislike it.It is so abundantly clear to almost anyone reading this that you think alpha is beta. You sir need to learn to admit when you are just plain wrong or even better when to keep it shut in the first place.
But do keep piling the personal attacks on. It only serves to prove my point. I do find it hilarious that some find criticism to a company completely extraneous to them so maddening that they feel the need to rain personal attacks on their counterpart.
It's a constant source of amusement that I can't help but sharing with my colleagues at work. Fun should always be shared.

Blah blah blah blah... lol Still the same old song and dance. "Loyalist" is the word I choose to use to describe those who stick wit SE throughout their career of making games. It's called an "exaggeration". What's sad is, you're the only person I actually had to explain that to. It just goes way over your head, doesn't it Abby? (shaking my head in pity) I was actually just kidding about the "half of a brain" thing, but now I wonder...Nice chain of personal attacks. I see you don't lose that habit. By the way, I believe I already told you that "loyalist" doesn't mean what you think it means. This isn't a civil war, as much some overly aggressive people seem to think of it like one and miss no chance to attack their counterpart on a personal level. The word you're looking for is "loyal". It's not the same thing. You're welcome. No charge.
But hey, since you have "clear evidence", let's see it. Because you never once brought anything that could even remotely be defined "evidence" (which is why you continuously resort to personal attacks. If your argument was anywhere solid, you wouldn't need to).
Also, again, please do quote where I said that if I or others don't get in the alpha the "game will somehow fail". Do humor me.
You can't? Oh... too bad.
Your words, your attitude, your butthurt mile-long speeches declaring SE is "doing it wrong" by not letting you and every other loyalist (yep, I said it again) in to test alpha is all the evidennce needed to reveal you as just some guy who's typing long paragraphs and volunteering the "proper definition of words" (thank you, Mr. Dictionary, lol) to make it seem like your argument is more than what it is; Just a chain of rants, accusations, and really really pathetic long bouts of crying over an over ad over and over... You're really not fooling anyone, Abby. Here, I found this on another thread. I think it might help you if you pay attention to it's message...

While true, that wasn't my point. First of all I'd argue that we're not even customers yet. Right now, anyone wanting to play or actually playing is just an interested party. Secondly, those of us who are in here clamoring to play and begging have already surrendered our nads to SE. I know that's blunt, but let's keep it real. You aren't going anywhere, I'm not going anywhere and neither are most of the players who will F5 these forums to keep up to date on ARR. When we're in a vice grip like that, they don't actually need to give us the level of respect we might actually be entitled to.
My analogies point was that sometimes you get it, sometimes you don't. Often the reason you don't is pretty stupid, but it's best to just move on; not harp on about your qualifications and promises/expectations. From the start of Alpha, I've told myself that like everything else in life it'll move on and we'll all be playing release. All of these shitstorms will be a faded memory. I have no reason to add to them thinking that way.
The funny thing is that if this really was a civil war, I wouldn't be a "loyalist" (you would be), but I digress. But hey, if you decide to select random words and use them for something that is not included in their meaning, more power to you. It doesn't help mutual understanding, but oh well.
What you bring isn't "evidence", it's your (misguided) opinion, that doesn't have any value of evidence anywhere.
Also, your constant use of exaggeration is nothing else than a misrepresentation of my position because you can't counter its original form. I suggest trying to counter my position, not your warped and imaginary version of it, because arguing against something no one argued is rather futile during a discussion.
Fact is that we are.
"moving on", "getting over it" and similar are a bad idea in customer/company relationships. It gives the company the very wrong idea that no matter what they do, there'll be no consequence. Which is a very dangerous signal flag to hoist. My analogies point was that sometimes you get it, sometimes you don't. Often the reason you don't is pretty stupid, but it's best to just move on; not harp on about your qualifications and promises/expectations.
But despite our disagreement, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for providing a counterpoint without throwing unnecessary personal assaults. While you provide no giggles to my co-workers, it's pretty refreshing.

Thank you again, Mr. Dictionary. lol Once again, exaggeration. Live it, learn it, love it. Also, seeing as how you compared yourself not getting into alpha to the sinking of the titanic, I really don't think you're in any position to preach about "meaning" and "comparison of words". You definately have a problem with perspective. The funny thing is that if this really was a civil war, I wouldn't be a "loyalist" (you would be), but I digress. But hey, if you decide to select random words and use them for something that is not included in their meaning, more power to you. It doesn't help mutual understanding, but oh well.

Yes, your past rants and your whining attitude are indeed evidence of your butthurt. Them cheeks are just stinging because you didn't get into alpha, lol. Like a little kid who got spanked. So, you're going to continue to cry about it and try to pass your QQing off as some sort of valid argument, when everyone with two eyes, a brain, and the ability to use all three can see what you're all about. Well, you go ahead. Cry till your heart's content. But guess what? It won't change the fact that you didn't get an alpha invite. It won't give you a bigger chance of gettng into beta. And it wn't add anysort of weight or logic to your "argument", such as it is. It will only make people roll their eyes in disdain at your constant riverflow of tears, or just do what I do and point and laugh at you for it.
You think your colleagues at work are laughing? That's nothing. You should have seen how much we laughed at you in chat last night. Our sides were aching! The funniest (or perhaps, saddest) thing about it is, you have no idea how ridiculously pathetic you're making yourself look. I tried to help you Abby, but you have to be willing to help yourself. Or you can continue to be the butt of everyone's jokes, either way works out for me.
I did get into alpha and still "encourage his rants". Can you imagine that?
