I heard this is fishing in ARR.

not really bitching it just getting to the point that it's dumb we see over 2-5+ topic about the same thing everyone should know by now that the dev make there own topic about the stuff they post. Most people don't check the other forums, and would never know the post was made. Seriously childish to get bent out of shape over someone posting about it in this forum, especially when no-one bitches about people doing the same with patch notes, or letters from the producers.
It's like some people in this forum aren't content unless they are complaining about something.

But with a carbuncle I guess?
Man, ARR has AWFUL GRAPHICS!
It looks as both crafting and gathering are both easier/more reliable now.
DoL having the option to target what they want is a big change. This benefits those who are gathering for crafting (get exactly what you need), it benefits those who are gathering for the purpose of selling in the markets (they can target the most profitable item) -- AND it benefits those who purchase the goods (if something becomes popular, then it will be directly harvested more and the price will drop - stronger supply and demand forces)
DoH changes are also quite nice. The 'Quality' value looks as though it is currently tied to the level of the recipe vs your own level. This makes obtaining HQ results on lower recipes a bit easier, and it looks as though you can get a slight HQ chance even with no quality at all. The addition of a 'quality' value also allows the devs to create special recipes that have steeper HQ requirements, or none at all. There is a lot of future flexibility in this system.
Something else:
Anyone notice that all the Carpenter abilities have 'Requires: CRP' in their description? At first, I was concerned that cross-class DoH abilities might be going away, but then I noticed that recipes, skills, etc.. all seem to be written just for the limited amount of classes available in the Alpha. I expect it will be back in the beta.

I dont think the gathering points are going to be broken up by grade anymore, but by level instead. Thanks for the video. hmmmmm. quite interesting. I'm so used to the old ways that i can feel myself not wanting the change but im sure i could get used to this eventually too. Although a couple of things that came to mind when watching this were:
For Dol,
How would you differentiate between grade spots?. THe ability was to locate nearest gather spot nd locate nearest spot of highest grade. what if ur a lvl 50 and looking for a grade 4.
For Doh,
I;m simply heartbroken at seeing the huge change but i suppose it's for the best. I did notice that it looked like the player had his own recipes to choose from. Wondering if this means we would be able to look up recipes in game and not have to outsource constantly from mooglebox nd the like. Also wondering if all those recipes might just have been the awarded recipes from leves.
And with DoH, I think you will just gain the recipes automatically as you level, so yea, no more need to go to mooglebox for recipes.![]()

Mooglebox would still be good to compare the stats of different gears
