bullshit since a while. Move on, nothing to see hereyou guys are still making excuses, HQ has never been about anything but luck in FFXIV so far i got tons of HQ randomly just by grinding. i rather hit a button and let it go in auto mode, or hit a button and let something else make it for me while i go do something else.
resident evil on the playstation has a better crafting system then FFXIV.
You can get HQ randomly sometimes. That is an inherent byproduct of percentages. A portion of the time, the event referred to occurs.
However, you can consistently HQ in FFXIV by starting with the right quality materials, using the right skills, and knowing when it is appropriate to use them.
At least, that is how it goes in 1.0. No idea if that will change in ARR.
Avoid the subject all you want, there are many mechanics that make crafting pretty in-depth.you guys are still making excuses, HQ has never been about anything but luck in FFXIV so far i got tons of HQ randomly just by grinding. i rather hit a button and let it go in auto mode, or hit a button and let something else make it for me while i go do something else.

I'm personally glad the crafting is staying similar to it was in 1.0, only sped up a bit. I like the idea that if I want to go all out on crafting, I can be really good at it...as opposed to it just feeling like a lame addition I can do if I feel like it.
Looking at the vid you get 0 increase to hq chance it seems from standard synth so if you just wanna smash enter this time around it wont help.
When was the last time you crafted something? oOyou guys are still making excuses, HQ has never been about anything but luck in FFXIV so far i got tons of HQ randomly just by grinding. i rather hit a button and let it go in auto mode, or hit a button and let something else make it for me while i go do something else.

And if you just use the standard synth you can't get a HQ. Only if you use only +1 mats (then you start with 7% HQ chance) with much luck. But then just use your skills and bring the HQ chance to 100%
Sure, HQ'ing an item is also luck based as long as HQ chance is not 100%, but..... I don't think indira has crafted anything since the patch that reworked crafting a long time ago.... also doesnt have the neccisary skill or skills help with quality gain for higher HQ chances. 2 crafts above 40 is not enough for 1.0's crafting system to make it anything other than dumb luck, unfortunantly. It was not mindless either. if you sit there hitting standard synth, for one you arent gaining the max amount of exp per synth since EXP gain is greatly increased the more quality you raise the craft by, and another you wont HQ unless get quality high enough for at least 1% chance, and standarding through isn't going to do that for you.
I don't see how one can relate jumping across platforms in super mario brothers or looking for keys inside of zelda dungeons to FFXIV crafting, neither of those have anything to do with crafting.
They did say in ARR a single class will have more skills avaliable to itself to make it better at HQ'ing stuff, instead of having to level everything to be a good HQ'er.
But in either case, crafting is not for everyone, in any game.
