When it comes down to it I just don't want the game to be slowed down or gimped for a controller. But if they can manage to keep the game-play smooth on both that's great and i would welcome that whole heartily ^^.

That's 16 commands readily available at the press of a button (well, two actually). It could well be the most efficient controller setup ever made. Now we just have to wait to know more of the movement and camera controls, but it looks like it'll be pretty smooth for combat.

Oh! That looks similar to Tera controls. If it is I'll like that, much better and faster then scrolling through abilities. I played Tera with a controller.

Yup .. the only difference now is that it happens even when you are unlocked. There is a way to completely turn around in 2.0 without back pedaling .... urrr umm .. I mean, I've heard there is.

While the UI is drastically different, I believe DCU had the same "hotbar" funtionality (L1+Square, R2+Cross, etc)
