I know that i'll likely be stoned to death but for me (i haven't get a invite) it seems logical that they are giving invites to people that haven't had a active account in a while. I think that they are trying to make them come back showing how ARR run.

I don't like it but seems logical that SE do that.

How does it seem logical? It's an alpha, it supposedly works well but it has very limited areas and content. That doesn't make people come back, it makes them go "I thought they reworked the whole thing? Why is there nothing to do?"

That's why you invite people who know what to expect.

I also like "entitlement posts" a lot more than posts of those who defend the illogical selection process. They probably say that because they got in. lol

This. There's no logical or marketing advantage in inviting people that ditched the first game in a very limited alpha. A much larger beta, yeah, there'd be a reason to do that there, but at this stage inviting people with an inactive account does more damage than good.

Unfortunately, also this. It's really saddening to see how some people are very ready and willing to antagonize those that didn't get in. It's also common in this kind of situation, but I expected better from this community. Naive of me, I know.

Maybe people who post on forum often or visit forum often aren't favored in terms if getting into alpha because the probability of breaking the nda is higher?

That's because Mid-December is when Yoshi-p said that Alpha will come to a close, However, he did say that he may leave up the Alpha Servers if the Demand is high enough, now weather that means only those who were invited can only play or if anyone can play, that's up in the air.

My vote is to leave the servers up and invite ALL of the loyal fans that have supported the game through its many tribulations!

It would probably make more sense to select a turnover date. Like on December the 1X, all those that had access to the alpha previously get locked out, and everyone else between the previously active accounts that applied gets access (no inactives this time, sorry).

Considering the size of the active community that would prevent server congestion, and would give those that supported the game what they honestly deserve.
