fk it, let's just port FF14 on the wii/u, xbox1/360/whatever, psp/vita, 3/ds, gamecube, ps1/2, iphone, android, SNES, genesis, NES, amiga, let's just put it on EVERYTHING!
There, happy?
I don't know what you're getting at, especially since you made it clear to us that it makes no sense to you. Perhaps you shouldn't make bias assumptions against the valid points I made in the earlier post. It would make your argument somewhat more valid and less exaggerated.i cant see for what do we need a vita version? you want to play 30 minutes while in a bus or what? find a group.. do a raid.. its just not possible.. there is no pause button like for offline games..
there may be a PSO version for the vita.. but i HARDLY doubt thats a megaseller.. games on the vita sell badly and an MMO would sell much more bad, also.
And on the other side PSO is designed completely different. you play small missions (solo or in grp) on instanced "tube maps". it offers much more solo CASUAL AND LINEAR instanced content which you can do "on the hop".. not 30 minute dungeons like in FFXIV.
And at home you have your home console or PC to run it.
FFXIV isnt a game to play it "on the hop" while in subway or bus.. on a bench in a park or where the heck ever... no keyboard functionality, no teamspeak connections.
it just makes NO sense to me.. when you want touchscreen features then a Wii U makes MUCH MORE sense
A Vita version would be just a gimmick to me.. "ah here see i can run a MMorpg on my handheld .. *woo". i say a Wii U version should be much more important than a vita version..
I'll provide answers in parts.
Yoshi-P said it is possible on the Vita at gamescom, however more people need to own a Vita to make a port worthwhile.
PSO 2 has over 750k subs. Vita Beta has just began. Will it sell poorly? I cant comment on doubts.
The touch screen functionality demoed in that youtube video proves that MMOs on it can work.
The point of my post was in response to mikecoby's comment about mmos not working on handhelds. I didn't say anything about FFXIV. Perhaps you should have taken that into consideration.
People forgetting that the PS Vita has more ram than the PS3.
I will be buying a copy of FFX HD ^_^ been waiting for it cant wait!
There are a lot of good ideas here. I would like to see an app where we could check AH, Chocobos, a Free Company/Linkshell messenger and depending on the housing maybe a house manager ^_^.
Dont Forget 3 Oct 11 | Vi Veri Veniversum Vivus Vici
Those ideas for an app do certainly sound feasible but it would only be for when you are outside the reach of your computer since you can't be logged in two places at the same time. So I don't imagine many people sticking with it, and thus it may be a waste of resources for SE.
wrong an RPG on the Vita would sell like hot cakes at the national fat man festival MMO or no. its what Vita owners including myself have been begging for and all we get are these shitty FPS that i would never play on a console let alone a handheld.i cant see for what do we need a vita version? you want to play 30 minutes while in a bus or what? find a group.. do a raid.. its just not possible.. there is no pause button like for offline games..

Don't do a raid if you know you have only limited time. Craft something or level your gatherer a bit. There are enough content you can do in 15 or 20 minutes.
