[dev1034] What ARE companies, though?

Unveiling and discovering the aspects of companies would be great... but if that's how it HAS to be, i would really appreciate at least a approximate release date, instead of a constant "in the near future". If that can't be done or it'll come very far in the future... then just give us some interesting teasers, what are these company buildings? boats? what exactly is something we can do? anything is better than silence :/

Good point, but I think players need to consider the recent mishap at Japan, many things were pushed back as stated by YoshiP, they are doing their best, but I think the way the saw it and he has stated this as well in his posts: keep the quick updates/fixes happening and build the larger picture content in stages. They are doing pretty well considering all the negative stuffs that happened to SE in general with respect to FFXIV. Sure Company thing was not much at the moment, but we did get new contents such as new NMs, I know new NMs might not sound much but its still something.

All I am saying is that for those players that are slowly reaching the end of the rope for this game, please don't give up, I have put a huge FAITH on YoshiP and his team, it would be nice to see more players to keep supporting them. I truly believe that they are doing their best with the current cards that were dealt to them, they are still trying to pickup the pieces from where the first dev team left off. Its a huge task and I know its taking slow..but regardless..I will be an active player..I really truly believe in SE and how they are trying to reach to their fans as far as they can.

The lack of info only means two thins.

-The devs still are not done with the design.(they could still let us know more about it)
-They want to make it a "surprise"(stupid at this point)
-Is nothing new or innovative so they rather keep the hype building until is released.
-They think we will patiently till the end of times, because the game is free, so there is not a need to say anything until 1 day before release

There is absolutely not 1 reason why they can not show more info of the actual role the companies play in ffxiv, outside of the 4 i posted.If you think of a different reason why we haven't gotten any info , ill like to hear it .
