The new animations is miles ahead from what we had before, and light-years ahead from FFXI, and I like it like that.

When they get varied animations for each race and gender in terms of casting and attacking/ws use then it's light years ahead of FFXI.

Excluding different casting animations for each school of magic, we already had that stuff. We also had casting animations based on which weapon you had equipped, which XI never had.
