As originally mentioned by others the JP twitter shows the 7th, EN twitter post is most likely an error and they haven't fixed it.
Previous alpha invitations were sent out same day as JP but at midnight-1AM (PST)

Look forward to JP twitter account announcement tonight then check your e-mail around that time

thats the thing though, the western audience has their own respective twitter's, we should, theoretically, be able to check our own languages twitter to receive information. We shouldn't have to follow the jp twitter, Thank god google chrome does the community managers job for them i guess.

well thank you for putting in a word on our behalf. Hopefully they listen because google chrome is not a perfect translator lol. Luckily it does a good enough job for me to get the jist of the twitter posts.
