I live in Norway, so I have the EU version with both games included. I'm still on the first game (around level 25 at the moment).

So both games are pretty much one game, just in two parts? I had a feeling when I started the game and it gave me two options; to either start the first game or the second one at lvl 35. Thought that was a bit weird :P

Yep if it has both of them together then you're good.

I was just not in the mood when that game first came out... thanks to... Final Fantasy XIV!! JP version White Knight 1 came out right around when FFXIV Beta was going on if I remember correctly and I wasn't too happy with beta, complained so much about how much the game was lacking (can see all my complaints on The Lodestone blog post lol, in Japanese though)... So to cool off I played White Knight Chronicles...

We'll you'll see how 1st one will end, and just think how you would feel if you didn't get to play part 2 right away... lol
It just ends there... it's like... WAIT!?!?!? WHAT!?!?!? Why am I seeing the ending credits... WTF!!!??!?!? NO F...WAY!!
I still haven't had the chance to get pt 2 lol... seen it around in JP game stores but the used version still runs around $60-80 bucks.

As for Xenoblade, looked at the game that was inside my drawer... it's PAL version lol... damn ebay... they showed JP cover saying JP version and was for $30 bucks so got it right away... then I found out it's not Japanese, didn't even check if it was NTSC-U or PAL... just noticed that now... haha... so now I have to go...*cough* my wii...

Alpha is not a big deal anyway, most people are just bored and don't know how to waste their time (just look at the forums)

切腹　= seppuku, ritual suicide
腹切り = harakiri, "stomach cutting"

As my teacher explained it, when the Americans were translating this for the first time, the just took the 2 kanji and read them as if they were written as 2 words (the reading changes when 2 or more kanji are written together), so they read it as "harakiri" instead of "seppuku". Don't ask me how they managed to swap the kanji order, it's what I've been told. Fact is, no one corrected them (maybe they thought it was rude, maybe people didn't listen or maybe they were laughing about foreigners being too dumb to read), so it is now a legitimate word in English, but doesn't have a special meaning in Japanese (contrary to seppuku). There is a similar story about "kamikaze" too, but I don't remember what the correct reading was...

Did you finish the first one? or does the NA version include 1 and 2 together..
I really enjoyed the story on the first one and was so into it until I got to the ending on 1st one and was about to throw the PS3 out the window... really pissed me off how some recent games can't finish everything on one disk so they find excuses to release part 2, which should of been included in the first game.

I'm still trying to get my hands on Xenoblade JP version... I have English version inside my drawer at work but don't have the courage to try it out.... I don't think I can handle English voice overs on JRPG's... 'yet'

Japanese voices are included in both the NA/EU version of the game. Mostly everyone sounds okay, but Reyn really hurts your ears sometimes. Whoever voices Dunban should get a reward.

Overall the EU voice acting is....meh. Dunban sounds great and some characters voices match well. However, hearing them all the time, especially in battle like Shulk and Reyn start getting really annoying.

It sounds more light hearted the voice actors, which is not too great because it isn't a light hearted game. They would work out wonderfully for Dragon Quest games though. >_>

I sometimes switch to the JP audio when I hear "Lets not lose our heads though!" or "Its Reyn time!" too much.

Hehe, yeah I hate how my character just stands there without saying anything. The other characters don't even acknowledge him at all. They look at him sometimes in cutscenes, but that's about it lol. I think the whole reason for the character creation thing was because of the online aspect of the game, though.

Whoa, I got my copy dirt cheap, around 10 Euros. JRPG's don't really sell well here (apart from Final Fantasy games), which has its upsides =P
