[Reminder] Are you ready to cry again? (2° Wave of Alpha invites tomorrow, 3 dec.)

If it's JUST testing, they should have given to each testers 3 days or so to test, and then give the invite to someone else. So that EACH Final Fantasy XIV 1.0 REAL players could have tried it out!

How much do you think one can test in 3 days? It takes a lot of time to try many different features in many different ways with different characters, then go through your notes and rewrite them for feedback etc. It's really slow and I don't think most people have that many hours a day to use on it (even if they are motivated). And even if they would have 12 hours a day it might be more useful to go a bit slower.

I hope there are many testers with different gaming backgrounds who are willing and able to use a lot of time going through each feature SE wants feedback on, trying them over and over again and especially use time on writing down their feedback so that it's actually useful.

1) It's a stress test
2) They received a lot of requests, if they could invite even non-playing people
3) In this way a lot of people, who wanted to see SOMETHING even an Alpha, will be out till Beta, or worse

Well, the main purpose of the alpha test is mainly for the servers anyway, you can still help make the game better with the beta testing

I commended SE about a week ago for being so transparent about the alpha, yet there hasn't been an update today on the english twitter account, nor did they let us know last time invites were sent out.

It makes me wonder. Are only Japanese people getting invites at this point?

The invites are supposedly going out world-wide.
It's just the community team that doesn't translate the JP Twitter response at all.

I don't think it's wise to degrade @FF_XIV_EN, @FF_XIV_DE and @FF_XIV_FR followers to 2nd class citizens, but that's what it is.
