Well that just doesn't work. I already mistake Lala's for mandy's and get frustrated when I can't attack until I get the "Dude wtf are you doing?" tells and realize the mistake
Hmm now that you mention it, Lalafell have the advantage in PvP. They can hide in small bushes and wait for an ambush. but thats besides the thread topic.
Forgive me, I didn't read through the whole thread. m(_ _)m
But the opening post got me wondering: Why does Yoshi think Viera would be "another gender locked race"?
I mean, we have male cats and female roes now so what sense would it make to sort of step back and create a race >again< that only possesses one gender? Is it only because of Yoshi's personal taste that bunny boys are "idk" or is there anything more meaningful behind this?
I mean, you could also say cat boys are "idk" (because female cats have a cult in Japan but I don't know about cat boys...except for "loveless" I rarely saw any), still to please the different tastes of players they are implemented.
(Note: I have no FF history. I only know 14. :P )
This is no "pro/contra viera" comment. I just don't understand why one initiately thinks about viera only being female (like we used to have it with mi'qote) only because males didn't shop up in the series so far (what was that about reproduction?). I thought it was obvious that if something like viera was implemented then it would be both genders...
If you implement a new race give them both genders. Please.
Viera are popular because of the females. Adding males with bunny ears and tail is just superfluous work.Forgive me, I didn't read through the whole thread. m(_ _)m

Mithra males were given a sense of rarity. They existed, but were hidden away. The appearance of one had all the ffxi mithra swooning in game and people wanting to be one out of game, if only for an agile thief character or to be the next "Panthro". Bunny boys would not have the same effect.
