Hmm, makes me wonder about 3 things.
  1. Who got Abri started up again... I mean I've followed and enjoyed his posts pre Nov 26, but a lot after that have been, well ... no comment beyond "no comment"
  2. If the people championing the "SE screwed up by inviting non-actives without asking our permission" posts would still have supported "the cause" if we would have been in that round of alpha invites.
  3. Do you think the community reps or devs decided to yank people's alpha/beta apps based on forum behavior post Nov 26?

I mean, really? Sure it could have been handled better, but the company really shouldn't NEED to ask our OK when they decided to make a change that they feel is best for the progress of the game development.

To ensure a broad scope of testing for the Alpha Test, we did accept users with specific types of machines, setups, connection types, ISPs, geographical locations and other configurations that we need to test that may, or may not, meet every requirement on the application. Alpha is an important first step for testing and we need to make sure we have a wide breadth of users testing it.

We appreciate your understanding, and we look forward to further expanding our selection in the future. In fact, there are a few Yoshida posts that we're working on today that go into further detail on this.
They did what they thought was best, I think that recently they have at least earned the benefit of the doubt.
