Maybe you mean "accessible" as "you can come along since we have a free spot, even if you're almost completely useless if you're not a healer"?

Not everyone has a linkshell with enough level 50s to back them up. The content wasn't designed to be the be all, end all of difficulty. They "nerfed" player groups, and they dropped the NMs as well, by pretty much the same amount, to keep the difficulty costant.
