A Sport (how about Blitzball?)

I know they're working on the Gold Saucer, and I'm super excited for it! But I wonder if they've thought about having some kind of sport. I think it would be awesome if Blitzball came back from FFX. For an expansion maybe? You could settle any dispute with a blitzball match lol.

I think it could go either of two ways.. It could be turn-based or free-moving. I think if it's turn based it would make it a lot easier to implement and I might even prefer that anyway because it would be more strategic like chess. But fast paced reaction time blitzball sounds fun too.

Whatever city holds the sphere could also have the winning teams insignia blazed on flags and giant drapes through the city - that could be cool make it so the NPC themselves are sport fans~

Although I highly doubt they'll do blitzball (would be so hard to make that work if it was all human players) we do know they are planning various minigames and such for the Golden Saucer.

Any actual 'sport" we get would be some kind of PvP activity along the lines of ballista. Some might consider PvP itself a "sport."

Please don't.... I was a hardcore Blitzball fan in FFX and if they added this to XIV I'd NEVER stop playing it EVER!

blitz ball would be a sport where everyone has blitz ball jobs :P instead of DoW/DoM

I think you could get it to work using the job system to replace abilities and make some depend on carrying the ball.

How fun it would be with other players?.. I dunno.. I'd have to try it.

Still more persistent "mini-game" that isnt directly related to the usual hunt and kill I think could be a unique and exciting element.

I love mini-games. I think it's important to have things to do other than dungeons and raids. That's why I'm really looking forward to the Gold Saucer.
