Before it can be done though, they have to do alot of research on what people will want, how it will effect the development of game, will it kill an economy exc exc. Properly executed, imo a p2p/f2p model is superior than both as a singular model ( and not one that limits your progression, i.e. lvl 1-10 free , pay to unlock rest )

Properly executed, no model is inherently better than any of the other, they would simply be tailored to match the game they're in.
