from what i read in the threads it's pretty obvious that they prefer the people that played only a little before they quit over the one's that have been playing 1.0 all the time.

so it's also clear that they don't wanna talk about it.

what makes some sense in an economical point of view is - and will remain - a kick in the nuts of the fans.
It should remind us that Square-Enix is nothing more than a profit-oriented company.

Threads like these are the answer, people will line up demanding they meet the criteria and have not been invited.

The people who feel the need to be vocal as to why they should be invited above anyone else are the ones saying that. I wouldn't be believe everything I read from disgruntled internet folk.

it would be a viable explanation why SE doesn't want to talk about the criteria.

would they admit that they prefer the quitters over the fans?

Can you share with us how you select Alpha testers? Please be more transparent. Coz it seems that the Alpha testers were mostly people who had spent only a short time with 1.0 - if I had known that this is your plan all along, I wouldn't have bothered to apply for Alpha.

Its too late to cry over spilled milk now but more transparency of your plans for Beta will help your fanbase better plan their time.

They want the game to succeed, would you prefer people having withdrawals and want the game out asap to see it say "It's all good release it now" or people who will analyze the game properly and give proper feedback.

SE wants the game to succeed, we don't know what people here said in their applications, people could have said they want to play the game early, therefore they would get rejected and start raging.

ok yes it sucks if you dont get an invite but really? I mean, its ALPHA there is still BETA and um idk the actual launch of the full game that you dont have to test? lol

Why would he just pick us who played 1.0 all the time, he needs to spread it around.
Not to mention plenty of ppl here could have gotten that email,
no ones gonna say it tho cause of the NDA

Besides it JUST started getting sent out today, I'm sure they didnt send them all out just yet so just chill ^_^

The average MMO player doesn't give a sh*t if a game succeeds or not.
either he likes a game or he quits and starts a new one.

the true fans actually want the game to succeed.
they have an INTEREST to give feedback and make it better.
