Random does not mean take anything into consideration.

Besides, this is a test. This isn't a free early game experience like 80% of people seem to think it is. You are supposed to be there to give feedback, not to "try out the game" or "have fun".

Relish in the fact that you get to play it later and don't spoil yourself to much early on.

There's a lot of us that didn't receive it, but sadly paying every month and supporting the game doesn't guarantee you a spot though I'm pretty sure they mentioned somewhere that they gave some priority to active accounts.

Whats done is done there is no use being angry at the choices that were made. I remember reading that the first few days of global the servers wouldn't even be online 24 hours anyways.

They also said they want everyone to get a chance. This isn't the last phase of alpha invites. Yoshi-P said he wants everyone to have a chance. So be patient and we'll all get an invite.

They will select a batch of results tailored around certain answers such as x processors ranged to y processors and ignore other ones for the time being, but those who are selected between x and y processors are completely random. Just because you gave the "right answers" doesn't mean you'll get in. They don't look at accounts, they don't do any of that.

It wasn't exactly random no... but their invites are more PR related and possible several other factors like computer power time played and so on

would you provide us with the link on that statement? because it kinds defeat the purpose to set up alpha tester application page,while the end, those who didnt apply get it.

I think it's a little misleading at the moment since we can't hear of any current players on forums who did get in or they'd be breaking the NDA^^;;

we are talking for someone who didnt apply the alpha, but get the invite....

Its not exactly random it said people will be selected based on their answers right on the sign up page. Maybe they did want some people who didn't play 1.0 much.
